Very true. Indeed, it's a vicious circle. However, and this is my suggestion for all the users, would be interesting if people could at least just login during and be present as long as they are logged in SPW. I'm doing that and by now I have found very interesting people to talk to. I also feel a bit awkward but I suppose we all feel the same a bit. So I guess no one should feel pressured there. At least that's the goal. People should give it a try.
I have tried it a number of times and although it is empty alot, a few times i have chatted to people there.
There have been other threads about the chat room, so the interest is definetly there, its just about getting people into the habit of logging into the chat room. (Of course, it would be nice if the chat room itself was improved.....but one step at a time!).

Chat can also be accessed by IRC (Internet Relay Chat) programs like mirc (www.mirc.com). After downloading and installing mirc, change the "IRC Network" (options-connect-servers) to IRC-Hispano then click connect. When it asks what channel to join type in #SPW and you're in.
To access SA-UK's, www.social-anxiety.org.uk, chat rooms, set IRC Network to Serenia, and the rooms are #SAUK and #lounge. To access the www.anxiety-support.org chat room, set IRC Network to Kickchat and the room is #anxiety-support. Last time I checked www.SAHideout.com is also on Kickchat and their room is #SAH.
Check out http://www.mp3addicts.us/ChatStats.php it displays statistics on a chat room I visit every so often. It would be cool to have something like this for SPW's chat room.
