i need advice

ok, there's this guy that i've known for a while. he really likes me and i like him, but... i'm friends with his most recent ex-girlfriend they like lived together and stuff, and he has tried to commit suicide over a girl before. i think that he is moving in way too fast and i don't know what to say, he makes a decent amount of money and asks me to go shopping with him and says that he will buy me stuff, and this makes me feel uncomfortable. what should i do?

Be honest with him and tell him exactly what you have posted here. He is making you uncomfortable and you are worried about him.
