Hi. I am a new member to this forum. I have been a social phobic for many years but never thought there were others suffering with the same problem - I thought I was unique! I have been "acting normal" for a long time and am getting tired of it. I am 51 and would like to live a little before I die. If anyone would like to converse with me - great! I will check back to see if this has had any response. I live outside of Montreal and would be willing to go to a group meeting.

Hi everyone,
I'm living downtown for the moment.
I know this is rather bold of me, but let's put our fears aside and do this.
We can work out the details later, but I'm thinking something simple. Maybe get together on the mountain on a quiet day, sit on a picnic table and talk. We can take off if it gets uncomfortable. If you have other ideas, post 'em.
I think it'll be a beautiful thing if we can support each other through our struggles.

I didn't like Montreal. I just went there and I think Toronto is better. I found in Montreal people were not very friendly and a little arrogant. In Toronto people are much nicer.
