This double-blind study utilized 60 participants placed into one of three equally distributed categories according to their composite ACT/SAT scores. Comparisons of the Reynolds Intellectual Assessment Scales (RIAS) with internet IQ tests from tickle.com, queendom.com, and iqtest.com showed low to modest correlations, questioning the overall validity of web IQ tests.[/i]

SocialRetahd,
I understand that a study may have been done about what we're talking about. The only problem I have is the fact that people even try to test for intelligence. You can more or less tell if someone has a high IQ after speaking with them for ten minutes. There are some exceptions to that rule though, and I believe it is those people that these "IQ tests" were originally intended for.

Peace

Mine is 136. I wonder if people with certain mental health issues are more likely to have a certain IQ.

I've had a >140 IQ score (albeit from an online test) and people who know me online, generally seem to consider me to be an intelligent person. On the other hand, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that most of the people who know me in real life, think that I have an average IQ or even less. My shyness and social anxiety contribute much to making me seem like a less-than-intelligent person, and my tendency to isolate makes things worse, since that means that I don't get that much practice in communicating my thoughts. I'm pretty sure that many people (probably including many who are participating here) are the same way.

Therefore, I'd say that your statement that quoted above is incorrect in its current form. If restated in more uncertain terms, it may still be correct as a generalization.

LMAO.

I just took a look at the results. Appearantly 21 people have an IQ over 120, which makes them superior intelligence, 3 people have IQ scores between 106-120 which is above average. Only one person has answered for average or below.

In the general population only 10% of people have IQ scores above 120. Mine was 115 in grade 9. I'm, not sure if that's changed.
