I'm guilty of doing this a lot. Sometimes I just blurt things out straight away without thinking for a second. Surely a sign of anxiety? _________________ i'm a guy |

that's awesome! that's probably a sign of growth, doing shit or saying shit without worrying about the outcome.
i'll trade with you. i have the opposite problem... i debate on weather or weather not to say what it is i feel for the fear of being shot down. |

| Nope. I think wayyy too much before I speak. Like if I want to say something in class I will sit there thinking if it's a stupid thing to say or not and then the teacher or another student will say my thought and I'll be sitting there like, "dammit! I should have just said it!" |

yeah. i always spew out the most generic, cliche one or two-word comments instantaneously out of anxiety that the other person doesn't value me enough to waste their time on waiting for my thoughts to collect into something valuable and coherent. _________________ “Winners do the things that losers won't do.” -Unknown |

Usually I don't say much, but when I do I end up offending people. That might be the problem actually. I know I'll end up accidently hurting someone's feelings, so I don't say anything at all. |

| No, I'm the opposite to you Pinker. I tend to quickly run it through my head before speaking, particularily if it's something like an opinion. |

At home I tend to blurt out things before I think. But when I'm around people I don't know, I think about what I'm going to say so that I don't say something stupid. Usually I'm so absorbed in what I am going to say that I don't really pay attention to what the other person is saying. Therefore, the conversation is lost. |

| I wish i could speak before i think! I wish i could do something before i thought about it. I am the most unsponataneous person ever, i analyse everything over and over. |

I'd have to say that it depends on the situation.
In class, when I don't have to say anything, I'm just like PhantomPod. I always get ticked because I know the answer but can't say it.
In situations where I could contribute to the conversation, I can't because instead of completely listening to what the other person is saying, I try to think about what I should be saying in response (so I only gets parts of what they're saying).
But if I'm required to give an answer on the spot, I usually don't think about it first. Alas, I then spend the rest of the day feeling like I said something stupid and that I should have said something else... |
