There was a really good TV prog on a while ago on the BBC, including experiments, interviewing scientists etc...it basically showed that when you take away all the prejudice, bad science and govt. propaganda there is very little evidence that casual MJ use is harmful.
If only these anti-marijuana prohibitionists would actually change their views on weed after this discussion... Instead they probably get more angered by the idea that they've lost an argument to a bunch of socially phobic marijuana users. Good luck with that degree...

Have to say i smoked for a couple of years and then it started to giv me panic attacks which i never had b4 so it is negative for some people.
And it has been known to cause schizophrenia to SOME people. So I guess why take the risk that u could be one of em.
Still reckon they should legalize it though.
Enough bullshit. Give me one reliable study that links marijuana to schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is in your genes most of the time. Just because someone who is predisposed to schizophrenia smoked weed doesn't make that the cause of the illness.
And to answer why we defend it... how is it ever going to be legal if nobody gives this harmless plant a voice?
I fully respect your experience, I just don't agree with the schizophrenia part...

This might sound like im makin it up but my m8 got it from MJ.
Didnt do any other drugs.
Over here in AUS its illegal but u r aloud to grow 3 plants or something like that

That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in my life. I'm not even going to entertain the concept of something so stupid.
it's not entirely far fetched. i've heard (though 'hearing' isn't a particularly solid source of fact) that mild schizophrenics can have bouts induced by psychoactives. this doesn't mean that lsd GIVES you the disease.

My shrink reckons psychosis brought about by smoking pot is the most difficult to control. Smoking pot is definitely not safe for everyone and should be illegal.
