Are you too shy for this too, like me ?
Do you feel like a fool and people will laugh at you?

Dancing is an activity that I wish I were good at. I understand it's
a good way to entertain woman, and they really like a man that
will take them out to dance. I wish I had learned to dance as a
teenager, but I was way too shy and deathly affraid to even try.

I finally got up the courage to take a ballroom dance lesson.
I was horriable but still had fun. No one laughed and most people
were very supportive. They complemented me on the courage I had
to even try. By the end of the lesson I actually started to get the
hang of it. It feels quite nice if you do the steps correctly. I think
I'll try some more but maybe this time at a SUB-beginners lesson.

I like dancing when I am by myself. (Though I'm abolutely rubbish at it Laughing ) But there is no way I can dance infront of or with anyone. Shocked Not even my close family who I am comfortable with. Shocked

It's far to anxiety inducing. I do feel like a fool, and fear that people will laugh at me.

I wish I could dance though. I wish I was good at all styles, it's one of my little fantasy dream worlds that I escape into. I love my little fantasy dream worlds, they're so nice. *Sigh* I'm pretty, I can dance, I have no fear, I have social and romantic relationships. *Sigh* I wish they were real. Sad

(Sorry to go off topic there, it's a bad habit of mine. Rolling Eyes )

I absolutely looove dancing alone. I might be able to dance in front of people, if I were being incredibly brave that day.

i wouldnt at a club in public, at home while under the influence its possible, i dont listen to dance music of today, certainly not the music that is played at commercial dance clubs or on the charts, modern day R&B makes me cringe.

i enjoy eighties stuff like blondie, ramones, PiL, the clash, depeche mode, songs that youll never or rarely hear at todays clubs.

i used to fake it and just danced anyway while i watched these girls/guys really get into it, like backflips & fancy moves, i then realised it wasnt my scene in public anyway.

i dance in my own way and i dont enjoy flaunting it in front of others to be honest

am i ok with this? sure, to me its honest to my own interests, i dance if i hear a song i really enjoy, i dont just dance to music for the sake of it being a song or because everyone else does, and thats just fine

one thing a lot of people do as a date is maybe take a dance lesson together. i think it wouldn't be that bad then.

i cannot dance with other people but i have danced alone at probably 100 concerts. i used to follow a couple bands around the country during summers and dance at those shows. it was not hard b/c there was nothing social about it. if anything you get more respect from keeping to yourself more and just listening on the music, and not being annoying or an idiot or anything. it was dark too and many people at this type of show would be on drugs or something. not that that is a good thing, but it meant they were not really focusing on the other people too much Wink
