As it stands, i'm living in the uk, and beween october and december i need to fly out to america for 2 weeks, then return here.
i've had agoraphobia for almost 6 years, and it was initially triggered while i was in canada..
Now what im asking is, i need something i can do or take, for a 2 week period to stay sane during those two weeks, anything at all except alcohol or illegal drugs.
I know this is a strange request but if you guys have anything i can try, i will try it, because in the end, im going to do it even if i have to go as i am, even if i have constant panic attacks on the plane and the whole time im there, i do not care at all..
i need to do this..

Have you tried ACT (acceptance & commitment therapy)? ACT really isn't just a short term solution but it will help almost immediately. For some articles on ACT try www.actmindfully.com.au There are ACT self-help workbooks like "Get Out Of Your Mind & Into Your Life" and "The Worry Trap" that will help you stop avoiding.

I've actually attempted a similar solution a few years ago and althought it helped a little it was really short term and continued attempts to stick with it failed as the initial releif it provided stopped happening.
I'm going to my GP on monday to see about getting medicated, be it Klonopin or Nardil, i just want to be free of this god forsaken bubble.

Klonopin is one of the stronger benzos, you might find your doctor is reluctant to perscribe this i dont really know anything about nardil tho.But it might be worth asking for Diazepam which is another benzo which will defo help, doctors are pretty reluctant to perscribe any benzo because of it frequently being misused and it being addictive, but you should have better luck with only needing it temporarily.
figured i would pop my head in and update the thread,
I went to my doctor and asked for 'litterally anything', he prescribed something, dont recall what it was, needless to say it didn't work.
However, despite having nothing to aid me or fall back on, i went ahead with the trip, spent 2 weeks in america, returned, and spent an entire month there again in march this year, planning to return again in jan, all i can say is, the first time it was hell getting there, but the second time it wasn't so bad, if anything to me it's like jumping in the deep end of a pool without knowing how to swim, you'll either float/swim, or you'll sink and drown.. thankfully, despite all odds, i swam.
