surf the same few websites over in circles? I can sit there and circle the same websites over and over all day, just to check and see if anyone has updated and be perfectly content ignoring the real world that way.

Yes - I've done that before and still do when it's a bad day from time to time. Though I know it always makes me feel so much better when I cut it and turn the PC off.

Yes, I do that, but I don't think it would be considered OCD. It's just a routine we're used to, and I wouldn't be surprised if most people do it. We just have more time on our hands. Smile

This was a big problem for me a while back. I don't think it could even be classified as browsing it was more like checking...over and over. Maybe just maybe something might have changed...maybe I missed something, better check again.

It literally ate up hours a day for me doing "laps" of various sites. I would just browse to them, look for anything new, maybe read them, and then move onto the next. Sometimes I would just refresh the same page over and over. Stop for a minute or so and then go right back.

My name is Harold, and I'm an alcoho..I mean time waster.
I'm joining the club, same 5 pages for hours every single day.

Yep do it all the time. I got a few websites I regularly check. I am quite an addictive person, get hooked on shit easily. And I've been caring less and less about anything, which is a bit screwed up as well.
