I think most people have at sometime in their lives but that's mainly from the loneliness and helplessness. You really have to try to understand and overcome past events, your likely never at fault it's just how your mind and body works. People will always be there for you, they aren't always your family etc. but people in similar positions or therapists. There is help out there you just may have to find it so don't give up.

Life changes and you learn from your mistakes don't let them affect who you really are. Try to bang your depression out of your head for the moment and work on anything to improve your morale, find something that you can put your mind to, something that your proud of etc. build your self respect and confidence so you can face the world.

If your totally stuck and don't know what to do try getting pro help so they can give you options and possibly put you on track, also there are lots of information about self help methods and therapies like Cognitive behavioural Therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy that are found to be effective around on these forums.

Well said Generical. In all honesty there is nothing else I can say at the moment for you ioanna, since generical has pretty much nailed it. Also one thing to remember is that no matter how bad things seem, they usually get much better in a short while, try to consider the good things that you enjoy in life and reason with yourself on the matters that get you down.

take a vacation. some times the best thing to do is get away from it all for a little while, things never look as bad when ur not caught up in it. give ya self a chance to chill and not have to worry about it. return home and deal with your problems systumatically.
