can panic attacks make you feel like you can't breathe even if you don't feel anxious? i mean since this is all new to me. can it come in different ways? i thought i was having an asthma attack. the last time i had an asthma attack i was 12.
im thinking that maybe i should go to the doctor just in case. because even now taking a really deep breathe feels tight!
if there isn't any anxiety involved, most likely it's not a panic attack. definitely check with your doctor, that sounds like shortness of breath or an asthma symptom

Panic attacks are due to an underlying evolutionary response which is being trigger out of context. The "fight or flight" response occurs in response to danger, flooding your body with adrenaline. With panic attacks. this response is trigger without any obvious sign of danger.

Yes, when I am somewhere among people, I feel tension and the feeling that everybody is looking at me makes me hard to breathe. I feel anxious most of the time, only at certain times it is worse than in others. I think it is a disorder I cannot do anything with, only to live with it. And I think I might be a little autistic. Hopefully I manage to get properly diagnosed one day.
