i have some question i havent been able to sleep well. i can remember the last time i had a nice sleep other then when i drink and pass out. so im stressed out to the max, depressed and this SA bullshit. i was wondering if i could possibly get a medical marijuana card. is it possible to get one? how would i go about getting one. i think to taking antidepressants is harsh because there chemical and u get hooked on them and they have side effects. same goes for sleeping pills. i was happy when i used to smoke weed. it was only in social situations that because on this anxiety that it was not a good idea. i was fine at home when i smoked, very relaxed. so i want it to smoke after a long day or a bad day and to help me sleep and destress. anyone that knows anything help me out please. thankx

Brother I hate to break it to you but marijuana has more side effects than most S.A. medications. And you say they're harsh and get hooked on them...Complete Bull. Marijuana is way more addicting than any S.A. drug I've taken.
As far as getting the marijuana, it's not in smoking form. It's in a capsule or pill, either ingested or taken as a tea. It will probably be a very difficult process on getting it, after all it's in the same category of controlled substances as steroids or cocaine.
I'd look into trying Medications before you jump into marijuana. Don't be afraid to try Meds, you'd be surprised how much they can help with everyday life with S.A.

Actually in some US states like California, Nevada, and in Canada MJ can be prescribed (in herb form)
I don't think you could get it for SA or depression though...in a medical sense it's only considered useful for physical conditions like cancer, arthritis or some kind of chronic pain .
hmmmm i c, well i gotta see my doc in a couple of weeks to talk about meds so i'll see what happens. but about them being addictive, thats what i read on the net and that you build tolerance to them. but i'll just ask my doc and get the info str8 from him. thnx for the posts
I'm not from California (yet, lol), but I've done extensive research on this topic. To answer your question, yes, doctors prescribe medical marijuana to patients with anxiety disorders. All you really need is medical records of your condition, and your word that marijuana helps. It sounds unreal, but it really is as simple as that. I'm gonna move out there one day and trade in my 150mg/month Klonopin prescription for some fine Cali smoke. I've even talked to a doctor from out there and his exact words were "you sound like a prime candidate for medical marijuana, call me when you get to California."
Marijuana is a plant. If I can eat an apple I can smoke weed. Go away DEA!
ahhahaha ya i'd like to be able to just blaze one, just once in a while you know? not to got out and do itjust to relax at home. but ya that sucks if you cant get it for SA in canada.i would have loved to grow a plant of my own and smoke it.
o and i dissagree that weed has more side effects than meds. i havent done meds, goin to in a week or so but i had smoked weed for many years.it was like if i get anxious its not really the weed its just me and being high and anxious isnt good, but that wasnt a probalem smoking at home. i was loving it, music sounded better movies were better food tase better, i would sleep like a baby afterwards. the only real side effect was paranoia in public places and what not because of SA, but like i said at home it was a different story.

I think everyones more relaxed at home by default, it might just be in your head that it was helping that much(placebo effect?).
