ive seen a fair bit of people interested in meeting on here who live in teh syd area.

could there be anyone interested in meeting up round western syd?

i could give it 1-2months wait and see how many people we round up that want to meet

I'm new to this place (the forum, not Sydney:)) but have seen a fair bit of (scattered) interest.

Seems like its hard in a forum like this to get people to talk to one another directly - as we are all sure everyone else is judging us, sure no one wants to talk to us ( I know I think that) and even posting in a forum where no one knows "who" we are really is scary.. Well, that's the way I think anyways. Somehow I suspect I'm not the only one.

But it would be cool if all the Sydney people could have some direct communication, like we could all talk on here and get to know each other a bit before we meet up... then if we did actually meet up it wouldn't be like meeting a bunch of strangers...

Maybe everyone will ignore this and I'll just crawl back to my little corner.

You can count me in as well.

When I have met up with socially anxious people before I found them to be the least judgmental people you can imagine, and the fears that I had were unwarranted.

But yeah, anything we can do to make it less intimidating is sure to help us to get the meetup to finally happen Smile

I live in the inner west so that would be ok for me.. My only worry is that the thought of meeting a stranger makes my stomach tie itself into knots. But I guess if you were brimming with confidence you wouldn't be on here.

Mebbe we could talk a little one on one before? Do you have msn?
