I'm agoraphobic so I'm in the house alot so that means that sometimes there is a lot of tension with other family members. Everytime i get into a dispute and we get angry at each other (especially when its my fault) i get this incredible sense of burdening them. being stuck inside is bad enough but causing more stress to them makes me feel worse, sometimes i feel like disappearing, or even worse. its like my life is worth anything besides heart ache and pain.

What kind of burden does this cause them? I think you might be blaming yourself too much, especially for things which you may not be able to control. Do you feel guilty after this? Because I know that sometimes I can be overwhelmed by guilt after such incidents. I have learned to not do it so much any more, but it really does help. Just look at what causes this, and see how it probably isn't actually caused by you.

Hey, you're not the only one who feels like that.
For me, guilt is the worst part of it. When I get into arguments (like I did just last night), I feel like I'm a terrible person, ruining my parents' lives, and I can't take the pain I'm feeling, so I start wishing I could instantly die.
Does your family know about your agoraphobia? Would it help if they understood? Or is it just that you can't stand being around the same people hour after hour?
