Hello, I was on another forum and someone pm'd about their personal experience with hyperhydrosis.

He said he's found a way that so far has stopped it. This is what he said:

"I take oxybutynin. I get it from inhousepharmacy as the doctors can't perscribe it. This is because it's uses to help bladder control, and that's all they can give it for.

A side effect of this drug is it stops you sweating. The difference is amazing.

Maybe you already have tried it. Just thought id let you know what is working for me."

I don't know if any of you have heard of it but it sounds promising, if you want me to ask him anything just ask... I'm going to look into this.

Peace.

hey guys!

i went to my doctor the other day and he prescribed me 'Ditropan' which is the brand name for the chemical oxybutynin. I've been taking it for three days now and boy is it amazing stuff!! Not a single drop of sweat leaks from my body now! My hands are dry 24/7 and even in nerve-racking situations only like two pores on my hands produce sweat, which is virtually nothing!

However, I have begun to notice side effects of this drug which I don't know would do myself any good over a long period of time:
- dry mouth (particularly tongue)/reduction in salivation and as a result i can't taste foods as well
- weakness/slight disorientation, dizziness (feels a bit like i'm tipsy/semi-drunk)
- fatigue
- and a bonus side effect - don't have to go to the toilet as much, as afterall, Ditropan is for bladder control!

Hopefully these symptoms will pass once my body gets used to the drug, or maybe i'll have to reduce my dose. Anyway, Ditropan is working for me so far and it's only 15 bucks for 100 tablets in Australia. Bargain!
