what are ssi disability standards

I keep considering applying for ssi for mental disability.

I keep thinking trying to live life will eventually work out and that ssi is going to isolate me and keep me poor/starving.

I wonder if I can express sa to a doc to meet the standards.

Does anyone here have ssi for sa ?

How was it how long did it take did u feel like a scaming liar.

I feel very confused if I should apply can I find happyness in isolation and giving up on seeking a working persons life style like family travel kids car and home.

I went on first vacation alone this year in april and feel ssi is to little income to ever do that again. I feel so confused if its right for me. I do feel like I am social phobic aquward shy and difuntional but want to suffer that for the good things in working persons lifestyle.

I change mind so often on this and dont know whats right.

I posted the above question about 2 years ago. I havent heard from anyone about the standards. I have recently applied for ssdi social security disability insurance.

I am waiting for an answer on my application. I was told by doctor to expect to be rejected first time then I might get approved on appeal. I go to phyciatrist once a month for medication evaluation/therapy and refills on ssri's celexa and wellbutrin.

I was told I can not stop treatment or I would lose benifits. I am on public assistance while I wait for application to be approved.

I hear from doctor I am the kind of patient he believes will still be in treatment 20 years from now. I think he was trying to motivate me to learn from the time on meds and move on eventually. I think that is the way it works for people who dont ask for disability.

If I get disability and stop treatment I am going to lose my benifits. I have to be a patient for life just to be in treatment.

So far this is what I know about ssdi. I had to go to a few appointments regarding ssdi i met with a social worker. I had a physical. I have had to ask my doctor to do paper work that has a dead line on it with a threat of losing my benifits if its not done or late.
