Me and my mom went to get bagels today. She went in and I stayed in the car. Its a nice day today so the windows were half way open. A lady came out of nowhere and said something like. "Hi can you do me a favor" I said sure "I'm from Aberdeen and I work at Denny's...my car broke down and I need a $16 to buy a part" I may have said okay or said nothing I'm not sure but then I reached for the wallet and gave her $3 and said...Here's $3..she said "thanks" and walked off...while this short exchange happened obviously my heart was beated rather fast but oddly I didn't blush...I kind of had the feeling that this is a dream or that I was out of my body...that makes no sense I'm sure...it wasn't so bad just saying a few words to a lady that is asking me for money...makes me think how freakin hard could it be to say a few words to a girl? A simple...hey how have you been?...how hard is that? I'm listening to the song Its Not Easy To Be Me...makes me think...

Just got home from all star practice. The kid that was busting my ass last week said something like "your my buddy now Collin...I'm gonna get you talking so much" made me feel kind of stupid but its pretty funny... Laughing he kept saying anything to make me talk...when he threw a bad ball I told him the girls team was over there Laughing (no disrespect to the girl bowlers)

Never straight and narrow
I wont keep in time
Tend to burn the arrow
Out of the line

Been inclined to wander
Off the beaten track
Thats where theres thunder
And the wind shouts back

Grinder
Looking for meat
Grinder
Wants you to eat

Got no use for routine
I shiver at the thought
Open skies are my scene
Thats why I wont get caught

Refuse to bite the mantrap
Be led to set the snare
I love to have my sight
Capped everywhere

Grinder
Looking for meat
Grinder
Wants you to eat

(solo glenn)

Ive held my licence
It came with birth,
For self reliance on this earth
You take the bullet
On which my name
Was etched upon in your game

Day of independence
Stamped us like a brand
Round the necks of millions
To the land

As the mighty eagle
I need room to breathe
Witness from the treadmill
I take my leave

Grinder
Looking for meat
Grinder
Wants you to eat

Grinder
Looking for meat
Grinder
Wants you to eat

Grinder

One life Im gonna live it up
Im takin flight I said Ill never get enough
Stand tall Im young and kinda proud
Im on top as long as the musics loud

If you think Ill sit around as the world goes by
Youre thinkin like a fool cause its a case of do or die
Out there is a fortune waitin to be had
You think Ill let it go youre mad
Youve got another thing comin

Thats right heres where the talkin ends
Well listen this night therell be some action spent
Drive hard Im callin all the shots
I got an ace card comin down on the rocks

If you think Ill sit around while you chip away my brain
Listen I aint foolin and youd better think again
Out there is a fortune waitin to be had
You think Ill let it go youre mad
You got another thing comin

In this world were livin in we have our share of sorrow
Answer now is dont give in aim for a new tomorrow

Oh so hot no time to take a rest yeah
Act tough aint room for second best
Real strong got me some security
Hey Im a big smash Im goin for infinity yeah

If you think Ill sit around as the world goes by
Youre thinkin like a fool cause its a case of do or die
Out there is a fortune waitin to be had
You think Ill let it go youre mad
Youve got another thing comin
------------------------------------------------------

Hitem boys
Well Ive said it before, and Ill say it again
You get nothin for nothin, expect it when
Youre back seat drivin and your hands aint on the wheel
Its easy to go along with the crowd
And find later on that your say aint allowed
Oh thats the way to find what youve been missin

So Im heading out to the highway
I got nothin to lose at all
Im goin to do it my way
Take a chance before I fall
A chance before I fall

You can hang in a left or hang in a right
The choice it is yours to do as you might
The road is open wide to place your biddin
Now, wherever you turn, wherever you go
If you get it wrong, at least you can know
Theres miles and miles to put it back together

And Im heading out to the highway
I got nothin to lose at all
Im goin to do it my way
Take a chance before I fall
A chance before I fall

Makin a curve or takin the strain
On the decline, or out on the wain
Oh everybody breaks down sooner or later
Well put it to rights, well square up and mend
Back on your feet to take the next bend
You weather every storm thats comin at cha

And Im heading out to the highway
I got nothin to lose at all
Im goin to do it my way
Take a chance before I fall
A chance before I fall

I was thinking about conversations when I was playing chess. If you want to win at chess you need to know what the other person is thinking and what they're trying to do. I think this is like conversation. If you have the conversation they want to have then it will be a positive experience and if you try and have a conversation they don't want to have then it will be a bad experience. If they want to talk about something that happened in their day but instead of talking about that you talk about shoes then you messed up. Like the other day I asked a girl over myspace how her day was and she said "it was okay but the school was on lock down" now the natural progression of that is to ask her why it was on lock down. Every time someone says something there is a progression from it (I think). The way I get around sounding boring all the time (because I am boring) I like to ask people questions and you can get far without saying much.

I'm thinking that the way to the perfect conversation is to naturally pick up what they want to talk about and talking about that instead of trying to wrestle them over to the conversation you want. There have been times when I was in a joking mood and instead of picking up on the other persons mood I just kept joking around and it ended up with them not wanting to talk to me because our moods were different and I didn't want to have the conversation they wanted.

I think its like being in the same energy...I don't mean in some new age stuff but just both being in the same place emotionally. Like how you naturally want to be around people that share your views. Look we're all on this forum because we are all feeling the same thing and because of that we like to talk to one another. Us feeling a certain way also repels us from other forums.

If I was at the bowling alley the first thing I could start a conversation off of is bowling. Because she obviously has bowling shoes on! Genius huh? If I'm at a place where there is music playing I could talk about music. If I see she has a nice belk buckle on well thats a conversation right there...if you keep it interesting. She's wearing that belt buckle because she is proud of it so she will probably like to talk about it. If a girl is hunched over and looking at the floor I could guess that she had something bad happen and she might want to have someone to talk to about it.

I think it all boils down to...everybody is looking for something and if we can pick up what they want to talk about then we could make conversation with anybody for any length of time. Obviously tho sometimes people just don't want to talk no matter what you say.

If we adopted the thinking of Sherlock Holmes and gave up our ego then we could have a conversation with Saddam or Buddha just as easily. In chess like in a conversation the beginning is the easiest part. The moves are simple and usually very predictable. "hi how are you doing?" "I'm good how are you?" I'm good"...and it starts to get more complicated as the conversation progresses. In chess after the first few moves the compleixity goes off the deep end as people get their pieces out there and formulate their plans for what is going to happen. After the beginning the conversation could go from what happens after you die to what color your shirt is. Every word or lack of word they say has a reason and if you can be like Sherlock Holmes and figure it out then you are both happy. In chess you have to figure out where the threat is. You have to ask yourself why they moved this piece and not another. When you can do this and get in their head you can start to predict their next move and everything gets much easier. Even if you get it wrong its always better to have tried. Now in the end game of chess things get simpler because there are less pieces to worry about. As you and the other person lose things to talk about after having a good conversation you can then end it. And if you had a good conversation then it will show when they want to talk to you again. It all seams so complicated but this is what people naturally do. It will become natural if we practice it and realise we are probably going to stumble a few times.

The part of the conversation right after the introduction and greeting is the most difficult.
