Right now I'm into a load of progressive atmospheric stuff.
I seriously reccomend "Porcupine Tree" to EVERYONE. they're just incredible, especially the older stuff they've done. It's perfect, rhythmic, interesting....
My other favourite music is by bands like Oceansize, Mew, Amorphis, Dream Theater, Pink FLoyd, Camel, Yes,,,,, (those three are old...... but still, definately an inspiration to the rest of my music and myself!!)

Yes! Somebody else who listens to Camel. Their self-titled, Snowgoose and Moonmadness albums are probably the greatest things ever created. Your post wins.

It's great to hear that. The snow goose is actually all I own, (I'm too young...my dad owns the rest....!!) but it's so incredibly good I just have to count them as a band I would have liked if I were alive then. I've heard songs like Nimrodel, lady fantasy and a few off moonmadness but sadly that's all!

lately, I've been into Tupac Shakur. I read his life story, and there is much to be learned by his battle with good and evil. He wanted to do good, and contemplated retirement after "Me Against the World" came out. However he was manipulated by Suge Knight (founder of Death Row Records), as Kinght bailed 2pac out of jail, on a promise to record 3 studio albums for Knight.
It was tragic because 2pac was in a vvery vulnerable position, and Knight is one of the most evil men who ever lived. He had Notorious BIG killed by Nation of Islam members in 1997, but was never charged.

I like a wide variety of music...For example: Metal, Electronic, Classical, some Folk, some Industrial, and a little Prog. Psychedelic & Noise genres too. There's really an endless collection of tunes out there if you're willing to explore/experiment. So see what you can find.
