Yeah I forgot to mention that, these drugs are still being developed and tested and aren't anywhere near approved by the regulatory agencies of any country.

No, I went through a phase when I was about 15 of smoing dope with friends and it made me 10x more anxious, really paranoid. I had a stupid voice in my head saying people were talking about me and laughing, and I used to think I was gonna die. It didnt stop me smoking it though as it made me fit in, but sometimes I'd get so bad I'd make excuses to go home and just get into bed to sleep! (after munchin' like crazy of course!)

Marijuana helps me out a LOT. I'm pretty much high all the time. The only downside is I can't do it if I"m working or at school because it makes me stupid.

Lexapro doesn't do shit. None of that stupid medication does anything for me. Weed and Alcohol are the ONLY things that work.

Also, all you people who say negative things about marijuana don't realize that everyone is different. It may help some people and not help others. Perscription medications are the exact same way.

Well said IceNerves. No one medication works for everyone, and for those who aren't affected by medication, what other options are there? Marijuana is the best medicine I've ever used, but by no means is it the right drug for everyone with this illness. As has just been discussed, the benefits of this drug are becoming more evident as more research is being done on the subject. It's only a matter of time before people realize that they've been severely propagandized over the past several decades on this subject. Who knows how long that's gonna take though...

Peace

I just wanted to say that I have SA/a plethora of other mental illnesses and I think marijuana really helps. I have been smoking for two years and I find that it really relaxes me. I do not think it is bad for you at all.

Yup everyone is different and it does affect peope differently... if you actualy look back through this topic, you will find that the majority of people who say "negative" stuff bout the ganja are just giving there own personal experiences with it.Infact ive seen alot of posts say it didt work for me ect or it made me more anxious ect ect but then go on to say they dont see a problem with it if it helps some people and appreciates why people would smoke it.

On the other hand ive seen people pretty much get called liars and there personal opinions dismissed in this thread when it hasnt supported the "posative" views of cannabis.I just find it a bit amusing your comment "all you people who say negative hings about marijuana don't realize that everyone is different" is aimed at people who dont support your own opinions... just cos we might not agree with you doesnt mean we dont appreciate people might have different experiences and yes it might help some people... or in some cases make them worse.Sounds like your the one who cant accept it when someone doesnt bow down and auto agree with you.

DanFalc,

This is what you've got to understand about medical marijuana. It can cause anxiety in some, but if you look into this fact, you'll see that it usually only occurs in inexperienced users of cannabis. Some people might get a little freaked out by "not feeling in control" when they toke up, simply because they're smoking the wrong strain of plant, or like I said before, they're just not experienced enough with the drug to realize its therapeutic potential and wide array of effects throughout the spectrum of different cannabis strains. I can see how a lot of people with anxiety disorders don't enjoy cannabis as a anxiolytic because if they get into a stash that provides a heady, almost stimulating buzz, it's not going to provide any relief at all. I've described the two different strains of cannabis thoroughly throughout this discussion.

I'm not calling anybody a liar I'm just saying people have personal choices. However, many of these choices may have been swayed by smoking the wrong type of cannabis. If your source doesn't know what kind of weed they're selling, usually the darker green it is, the better it is for people like us. That's not totally accurate, but it works most times. There are so many hybrids (mixed strains) around now that it can be hard to tell what kind you have sometimes.

I'm not trying to put down anybody's opinions, just trying to provide some answers as to why we get such profoundly different effects from this substance.

Peace
