I'm suppose to be taking Zoloft, but I stopped because I was getting increasingly anxious by the day. Last night, I had a crazy manic attack and I decided to just take a xanax and sleep it off. Has anyone taken Zoloft, cause to be honest, I'm terrified at this point. Any suggestions are helpful.
My friend was put on it to treat his drug induced psychosis and he killed himself after about a month of taking it. This sent me into a depression so I was put onto it too. It stopped me from grieving, and from feeling any emotion. Just anxiety. I couldn't wait for that shaky early period of staring a new drug to finish so I stopped taking (stupidly without doctors advise). Since then I have taken prozac which still turned me into an emotionless zombie, but It didn't make me feel worse like effexor did. If you want my advise...

People can have serious side effects while on it. Just look it up on the net.
Wateva ya do dont drink while on it I did and it made me crazy
I was on 100mg a day of the generic effexor and it did nothing for me but I also didn't have any side affects. I pretty much stopped cold turky b/c it wasn't working and I couldn't afford the $115 dollars for another months supply and I did get some withdrawl but it wasn't bad, not near as bad as a lot of the people who came off make it seem but that might have been b/c I was only on it a month.
I was put on 9.36mg of effexor and it caused me to have panic attacks and feel terrible. Yep 9.36 mg. Doc thought low doses of AD's would calm me (only Lexapro did it really).
I'm on it... 150 mg working my way up to 225... only I started getting really dizzy and horrible numbness in my legs and head every time I stand up. This has been all weekend. I cut back to the 150 and it's getting better but 150 has done nothing for me so far in terms of treating major depression and anxiety. I don't know what to do.
