After reading all the positive reviews, I think I am going to try to get a prescription for Robinul. Does anyone know how much it costs in the US and if it is covered by insurance? Also, is it sold in generic form under glycopyrrolate?

My insurance did not cover it, and its expensive. You should still try it out though, it may work for you.

I'm almost done with my bottle, don't think I will be getting more. I have pretty severe hyperhidrosis, and the Robinul seemed to have a very small effect. I'm disappointed, to say the least.

Any idea how much "expensive" is? $50 for a 30-day supply? $100? $200?

I've got an appointment next week with a dermatologist for a consult, and I"ll be looking either to leave with prescription for Robinul or some idea about prices for botox for axillary hyperhidrosis. I just can't take it anymore.

I just got a prescription for it. They gave me the generic brand of Rubinol (glycopyrrolate). With health insurance it was only $7 for 20 1 mg pills. I have been trying it out the past couple days. So far it seems to be helping. I still have to keep trying it to see how much of a dose works best. I'll post my results later.

I haven't been on the forum for a while, but I was the original poster on this thread. I am sort of amazed its still up top after so long.

Anyway, I thought I would drop in and update my experience. My trip to Cancun Mexico was great. It was really hot and I kept up my regular regimen of 2mg of Avert and 1 3% secure wipe for every day. I took a "booster" 2mg late at night a couple of times before heading to the clubs, and I am glad I did, because it felt like a thousand degrees in some of those places. Truly a nightmare scenario back in the day.

I only had profuse sweating one day - it was the hottest day, and I chose to just use the wipes because we had been out drinking the night before. I was already dehydrated and figured the pills were a bad idea. Predictably when it got really hot and we were exploring the ruins I got soaked.

Other than that one day it was great all week. Even that day I cleaned up for a nice outdoor dinner and took 2mg and was fine. (of course took it 2 hours before dinner)

That was two months ago. I rarely use the wipes anymore. I use 4mg of the Avert in the morning usually, and I'm good all day. I don;t notice the dry mouth that much anymore. I might just be used to it.

I do use the wipes in hurryup or extreme situations. The pills are not fast acting, and are seriously affected by when I ate last or intend to eat. Without a wide berth around meals they simply do not work. So I use the wipes as an extra and for backup.

The best part about this whole experience has been that I dont use these every day anymore. I am much more relaxed about my sweating, and I feel like its under control. I dont sweat sitting at my desk anymore, even if I dont take the medication. There are many situations where I used to drip and be nervous and that just doesnt happen nearly as much anymore.

So, I usually use the meds only if I am going on a sales call or going into a social situation. (Not work or everyday stuff, unless its really hot out)

Anyway, thats my update, and my endorsement for Avert/Secure/Robinul.

I enjoyed the part about water rides. I don't mean to laugh about it, but i was funny how much you hate them yet feel forced to go on them to explain your wetness.

I think everyone can relate to that mentality. Embarassed

I'm sitting here after ducking out of yet another day of my post grad law course as my overall sweating has gotten so bad.

I have just ordered Avert from pharmacy.ca and after reading the testimonials on here are looking forward to seeing the results for myself.

I was wondering what the approximate delivery time for someone in the UK is.

Also my main concern if anyone can shed light on this, I do martial arts and am often pushed to the extreme. I'v read that due to restriction in sweating this can lead to heat stroke and other side effects. Out of respect of instructors there are times when I won't be able to get a drink and will have to continue training.

Has anyone had any bad side effects in this regard?
