I thought it would be good to have a post where we could put up positive stories and things that have worked out well for us other than just talking about the things we cant do and the things that go wrong.

Well after reading the posts by Nickabcuk he has certainly opened up my mind about things.

I went to Mc Donalds today, something that may mean nothing to some people but i went to the one round the corner from me that i hate,i went through the drive thru and i had too repeat myself cause the guy coudlnt hear me as i was speakin so low, normaly i would fell terrible here but after reading what Nick said i decided to learn from it rather than fail myself on it and what i learnt is that i must speak clearer and louder the next time.

I also went to the train station today another thing i dont like as there is lots of people but it wasnt too busy and rather than sitting in my car and waitng to pick my mum up,i went out to the platform to wait on here and i didnt feel as bad as i thought i would.I think that avoiding these things most my life has made it seem bad but actualy being in the situation wasnt what i was expecting so for me that was another succes Very Happy

I have found that dwelling on my problems does nothing, after reading nicks post last night and listening to "The 7 habits of highly effective people" (that i downloaded Embarassed ) last night i was excited and felt a little hope and actualy was looking forward to getting out today and it was good Very Happy iam not saying that iam reading to go host a confreence or anything like that i just feel ready to do somthing and start making changes.

Well it looks like my message is getting rather long so i will cut it off here . Smile

Good for you ScotPlayr. Very Happy

Honestly the most positive thing I did today was take the day off. I caught up on housework and even stood out on my balcony for 5 minutes. I usually don't because I live in the middle of downtown and everyone can spot me since I'm on the 3 floor surrounded by (literally) 4 other apartment buildings. Shocked

hmm sucess stories huh? i feel like i've made alot of improvement over the last year, before doing presentations were impossible for me while now they're doable with little anxiety if i prepare enough.

i just got to the point where i looked at everyone i thought had it so much easier than me and then looked back at myself and saw we weren't so different. i looked for skills that i thought i could be proud of and tried to go off of that. i try and look at other people as people, and not as a theat.

but yeah, it's all deffinately a state of mind. i've always heard tha tyou have to choose to be happy and only now do i really understand that phrase

i'm very selective with what presentations i'm comfortable with but i'm counting my blessings! and kudos to you, i avoid drive-thrus at all costs!

and i'm sure you aren't setting yourself up, being realistic with your goals is the best thing you can do for yourself and your attitude is so awesome. the only thing you've set yourself up for is a win-win situation Smile

My positive things for today

Well i used a shop i have never used before i didnt realy need to but i wanted to try myself so i just went in for a can of juice and something to eat ,but as usual i made a fuck up lol i gave him too much money as i was a little anxious (lucky he was honest Laughing ) nothing much to learn from it other than get it right next time Very Happy

Also had a job to do in a tenanted house,i dont like working in house with people in them i normaly work in empty houses, any way i could see the lady was a little nervous (a bit like myself)having someone in her house that she didnt know so i made a stupid joke it wasnt realy funny but it kinda broke the uncomfortableness (is that a word Confused ) normaly i wouldnt have said much and just got my job done and left Confused

Also had to go to a wholesalers to pick up stuff for another job,i hate all that kinda stuff having to fill in invoices and sign my name but the building had a power cut so they where busy trying to get it sorted so i didnt fell like the centre of attention and it went well for me Very Happy

I have had alot of things gone wrong for me today but those are the good things that went well so iam not gonna dwell on the bad,and just look at the good things.
