Thanks indy, what really made me get into this topic was based on my own speculations. 1 week going on vacation prevented me from doing anything. And since I wasnt used to going 5 days without I had so much more energy and testosterone in me (Horny Surprised ) And other times that I have given my self some rest, like 3-4 days on the 3rd and 4th day I had increased energy and "guts" I was more alert as well. I think it has to do with secreating your fluids that over long periods of time can change your brain chemistry. Put it to the test for yourself, its the only way to get what I mean. I have felt very out of it, like I was stoned through out some days even with 7-8hrs of sleep. Then when I gave time for my body to rebuild itself. My symptoms of tiredness, lack of concentration, nervousness, migranes went away. Im not saying not to masturbate im just saying as a little experiment change your routine to twice a week.

With a little searching I came to these links. If you find anything more on the subject please share.

Now im sure the Dr. whom wrote this is looking to make money on his herbs but if theres more evidence to my speculations add on to it. Very Happy

I agree with you Nytro. There is a saying that too much of anything is never good. Shocked

well, I really don't know, but having sex or masturbating every single day and sometimes even twice a day sounds like a little too much to me. Most of the people that I know that do this have drinking problems, other drug related probles, and such on top of this need for daily sex. Sex can be an addiction like drugs and alcohol are for many people. Of course, there is a difference between thinking about it daily and actually performing the act. It may be normal for a couple to have sex daily for a few months when they first meet, but after a while, no normal body can keep up with this. Men actually need some rest for healthy sperm and other chemical production, I read that somewhere, but I forgot where. I will bring that information when I find it again.

Just like eating too much food is not healthing.
Not eating at all is not healthy either.
Extremes in general ar not good.

Social Anxiety Disorder. Not to be confused with Students Against Drunk Driving. (i'm sure there are others acronyms for Sad)

Back on topic. I'm sure masturbation could cause depressions in those that are catholic, and those that have a buge believe in that it's a sin and is dirty.

What were you most worried about? The fact that you were on a mental health website or the fact that you were on a thread about spanking-the-monkey?

SAD also stands for Seasonal Affective Disorder (the winter blues).

hi Nytro.. Very Happy ..i'm not sure what would be classified as overmasturbation?...i guess anything could be done excessively...but in my opinion....masturbation is a healthy, safe alternative for anyone, but especially those of us with social anxiety....or any issue really....much safer to masturbate, relieve some sexual tension...and also relieve stress...and i believe, it changes my mood for the better....but unless there is some religious reason someone may have for abstaining from it, i think it does no harm and is safe healthy alternative to having no sex...or having sex with someone you don't know....or don't care a whole lot about
