Often people with alot of social prastice get egotistical and they dont really second guess whats coming out of their mouths, so they'll say something just to make sure they are seen talking, even if the comment is unhelpful and irrelevant and not well thought out, i know alot of authority types like this, its a form of ADD they need attention no matter what garbage spews from them. maybe thats a little harsh too, some people may just say things because they care but they can't word it any better, like i would probably try to lighten up the mood or make them feel comfortable rather then just saying "you're so quiet" which is a tardy observation, its like me saying to the teacher "you're so loud today" ...the comment is asking for trouble and isnt necesarry ...

YES!

I hate when people say, "Are you shy?" I always just say, "yes" and then they usually walk away.

I wish that they would start a conversation with something other than that! Mad
