On a more serious matter unfortunately back to the drab aul HH, i was hoping to get some feedback on the ditropan question but there's been nothing so far. I might copy & paste the same post to the msn HH site.

pinker...it seem's you know a lot...can you tell me why there's such a big difference between antiperspirants...I tried 4 different antiperspirants, till I found one who worked...so what's wrong with the others (what's the difference) cause I thought they are all more ore less the same...

Which ones have you used and which one worked? Some of them have different concentrations so they might be slightly more powerful.
hey pinker...
I tried the most famous antiperspirants. first megadry, then maxim, then odaban till I finally tried sweat-stop. megadry didn't really work like odaban and maxim didn't work at all. sweat-stop forte plus, which I'm using is really dependable and keeps me 100% dry
It took me a long time to find the right product for me, but now I don't care anymore about changing clothes and stuff like that...i'm really happy...it has changed my whole life. sounds weird but it's really like that...I hope that everyone will find the right product for himself...i can really recommend sweat-stop. I hope that you can answer me why there's such a difference between the antiperspirants pinker...
thanks Pete

Hi pete that's great things have worked out for you!
I don't know much about what goes into these products to be honest but I guess apart from the concentration of aluminium chloride, there could be different ingredients in Sweat stop compared to the other brands. They list the ingredients on the sweat-stop website but the main ingredient ('aluminum chloride-6-hydrat') sounds like a different name for Aluminium Chloride Hexahydrate which is in most other antiperspirants like maxim. The sweatstop website does say it uses an "optimized pH-value" so maybe that could help matters.. or maybe they use a different carrier for the aluminium chloride which is more penetrating into the skin than ethanol which I read is used in many other antiperspirants.

pharmacy.ca sells Secure (topical glycopyrrolate 2.5%) pads. Any idea what are these and how to use them? Are they effective?
Thanks.
Yep that's where everyone seems to purchase the wipes from and they're available in different strengths.
They are basically like a tissue or a pad (I haven't used them myself so i'm not sure) and you wipe it across the area of skin. The wipes contain glycopyrrolate which is an anticholinergic, which in simple terms is a chemical that prevents impulses from reaching and initiating the sweat glands. They have very good feedback but the downside is they are quite expensive.
I bought the Idromed 4 a few weeks ago and I can't believe how fast it works!
Promised to post a comment somewhere, have suffered from hyperhidrosis all my life and for the first time I feel comfortable shaking hands with people I meet.
Highly recommend it.
