Hey everyone!

Ive had HH for hands and feet my whole life (33 now). Id say I have an extreme case, (red puffy hands that drip sweat profusely). Ive tried everything, drysol, robinol, ionto (pulsed and direct), and botox. The ionto worked well for me for about 7 years, but my hands have been sweating a ton for the past month and it is really affecting my emotional state.

Anyways, i want to know what everyone thinks of ETS. Can you answer my poll?

If ionto is working again for you having ETS is not worth the gamble since severe compensatory sweating can start many years later. Somehow I made it through over 50 years and believe me the hand sweating was not fun. I'm lucky I got to a point in my 40's when I was able to open up to family, friends and strangers about this issue.

I had ETS done 2 years ago for my severe palmar and plantar hyperhidrosis. Now, as soon as I feel warm (which doesn't take much, I have zero heat tolerance now) my back, stomach, legs and crotch literally drip. I constantly look like I've soiled myself when at work in the summer time. It is absolutely horrendous. I would give anything to just have my sweaty hands back. The compensatory sweating is definitely not worth it, ETS has completely ruined my life... I have bad depression and anxiety during spring and summer due to it, am constantly embarrassed by how I soak through clothes, and even in the winter when its 30 below if I go out to walk, hunt or toboggan or skate with my daughter I soak through my clothes - and then freeze to death because I'm wearing wet clothes. I have used Avert which did nothing other than give me severely dry mouth, eyes and mental fog. I am on oxybutynin now and while it does help a bit I still soak through my clothes and look gross. If you're thinking about it.... don't.
