I don't think the underarm antiperspirant would be efficacious enough to block sweating to that degree. The AlCl % is very low in commercial antiperspirants. Compensatory sweating is usually due to almost complete blockage of the sweat glands. I think it was just a coincidence in this case :)

I'm glad that reducing caffeine and managing to curb the smoking has worked for you, that is excellent!

I don't think using antiperspirants will cause you to sweat in other areas. What antiperspirants have you tried using already? You have to make sure you use ones that contain aluminum chloride to get the best results.

I have heard that Baby Powder helps a lot.
I never use antiperspirants, I use Baby Powder, works really well.

I personally think it can cause you to sweat more in other areas. Based on my experience it certainly seems that way. Your body wants to sweat for whatever underlying reason...so it does. SO when you stop the body from sweating in a certain place...it doesnt stop the body from wanting to sweat so it just finds another place to get the sweat out.

I agree. In my experience this has been the case.
