SICK of it!!

People can be "so selfish" because they are aholes. There are a lot out there.

You should knock on their door randomly and maybe even get your own loud stereo system and blast it at them.

You could put put anti freeze for the dog, if you don't care about killing it. Even though that is mean because they dog really didn't do anything.

I used to wear ear plugs to sleep because my suite mate and the person who lived above me were so loud.

Maybe you could get more people to complain and then the supervisor of the building ( or whatever) would do something about it or eventually kick them out.

I suggest blasting classical or opera even if you hate it. I hate that kind of music but I've done this before in my school dorm to try and counter someone blasting Korn (I actually do like some of their stuff, but I was trying to work at the time)...it was very amusing...for me. Didn't really solve anything but still...it was fun.

As for the anti-freeze..bad idea. Some dogs just can't be controlled well...my shih tzu that is about 13 years old still bites me and barks at and tries to attack anyone who enters our house. It's actually pretty amusing when people come in our house, see a cute dog, and try to pet her. I trained my dog well...she hates unfamiliar people as much as i do

I really can sympathise,i live in a big block of flats and when i first moved in i had dealers living above me which didnt make life fun but luckily enough they got grassed up and busted eventualy.

I really would ring your landlord or housing association whatever it is and complain you dont even have to tell them who you are just tell them your a resident at there property.normaly there pretty good as they dont want to be renting to arseholes.Good luck with it and hopefully people might have already complained so if you do aswell they will have to take action.If you have already done that i would keep doing it cos the landlord will have to do somthing.

(edit) and dont be so hard on yourself and put yourseld down.Im sure if you could cope with working you would so dont say your useless cos im sure your not at all.

They blast their music with their bass up non stop, it rumbles thru the walls, floors and even the couch so loud it's louder than our TV and music. If we move to another apartment we're just going to have the same problem at some point with asshole neighbors. This is quite a new place and when we moved in every one was nice but now the assholes and trouble makers have started moving in.

We want to buy a house but as I don't come from this country I don't have any credit yet, my hubbys credit isn't quite good enough to get a mortgage we can afford. His job underpays him for what he does, he's extremely smart but I'd like him to stay where he is at work because he enjoys it, and who else can say that??

If I was working we probably could afford a mortage but of course I have to be a complete f@ckup and useless idiot.

So we're STUCK, screwed and it's literally driving me crazy. It's loud as hell right now and I can't take it. How can anyone be SO selfish.

Thats pretty harsh,i hate people like that who are not happy unless there ruining someone else's life.I really do hope you can get a house of your own and start living in peace,dont be so hard on your self as its not your fault you are like you are.

Holy crap I was in the exact same situation as you last year and it made my anxiety a bazillion times worse. Complaining had no effct either, I was days away from contacting the local authority dealing with noise pollution, and of course, that contact itself is terrifying enough. Luckily my noisey neighbour was long overdue on rent (she was a crack whore, seriously) and was eventually (after an entire year!!) kicked out.

Don't you have a local authority who deal with noisey households? Worse case, get the police involved. And in this situation its best to provide impartial evidence as to when and how severe the music was played. Keep a diary! It's useful evidence and trust me, you shouldn't ever have to put up with this crap. Not every neighbour is an ass like yours and mine. :evil:

I'd just confront them, and tell them to STFU. Don't let people trample all over you, because they will if you don't do anything about it. Also, don't posion the dog, because that's animal cruelty. Ever consider complaining to the super?
