I hate being single but sometimes prefer it. Depends on what mood I'm in.
I think FOR REAL's single. He's not slimy but he probably smells like haggis.

It just gets annoying when my parents mention the fact that my brother and sister are in relationships...like they're stating the obvious.

Yeah, I hate being single. Not that I'm desperate to have a gf but it would be nice to feel loved. It would give me a much needed boost and make my life more interesting, hehe.

I've never had a girl friend, so I only know what it's like to be single. Whenever I think about it, it bothers me a bit. It's always better to have somebody of the opposite sex close to u. Hopefully I'll find somebody soon

It's not corny at all, it's only natural to feel like that. Only the very shallow want to be loved for how they look
Understood completely. I hate being alone, I really don't think anyone is ever perfectly content by themselves but I'm also alone on my own accord. Do guys ask me out, of course but none that I'm interested in so I just wait for the right one. Some days it really gets me down and other days I'm glad I am because I see relationships of others and would hate to be put in that position for whatever reason.

But it's very good that you're not getting involved with someone just to remove the 'single' stigma.
You have a lot to offer. Also, don't let us guys who aren't lucky with getting offers like you do make you feel guilty about being picky, either. :

It bothers me when I see couples holding hands on campus. For this reason I sometimes really wish everybody else is single too.
I don't need a girl to make me happy. I'm pretty content as it is. It's just that I hate being constantly reminded that there's something out there that I can't have.

Single isn't fun espcially with anxiety issues.. going from having someone there to alone is the worst. I've continuously had people get close to me (I think on purpose, as bad as that sounds) just to feel less alone because once I lose someone I have to replace the feelings, even if I have zero real attraction to them.. that all came out sounding like I'm a massive douchebag who uses people but I don't do it consciously, just seems to be a really bad pattern that I see forming ::
