Skype Group

Anybody interested in forming a group for Skype? My reasoning is so that we can practice our conversation skills without meeting face to face. They have a conference feature, which would be ideal. We would maybe need more than five users to make it work. It would depend on who’s more talkative. Anyway, it was just an idea. Let me know what you think?

think the Mirc app. has audio but not sure if anyone uses in in the chatroom

I think it will be just about impossible to offend any of us peacegirl, being the way we are. My idea came from another idea that I had always thought would be cool. Wouldn’t it be great to have a phone service for people with SA? To randomly be connected to a group of SA sufferers with the same problems as yourself? It would make excellent practice, and being in a group chat, you could ditch it anytime, without really offending anyone.

Trouble with that is giving out phone numbers to god knows who!

I think you would have to build up alot of trust first as there are dodgy people out there.

Like internet protocol advises us to never give out phone numbers and addresses, guess thats common sense these days.

A skype group or chatroom you suggested may be a much better idea and alot safer.

Yes, the skype group was my second idea, the first was just a muse. I meant it would be a good idea for a company to do.

I might be able to try it, no promises I'll talk much though. Ericisme10 is my username on it. I just downloaded it now, so it's my first time.

It sounds a great idea, but I think I'd freak out at the last minute!::(:

Skype doesn't work like that. It's somewhat like MSN, where you give out an e-mail address (in Skype's case, it's a username you create), and you mostly chat. You can also talk on the mic, of course, and the quality is very much like talking on the phone.
