Sleeping over

Would you avoid sleepovers as a kid and make up excuses why you couldn't come? I'm still like that. I like going to a friend's house, but when I think of sleeping and waking up in a room that's not mine, it freaks me out. I guess I'm too used to doing my own routines at night and in the morning my own way.

Na, my mom would never let me sleep over...

Are you scared of waking up in a hotel room?

yes!! all the time. Oh man, then the few times i actually felt brave, and tried, but then i'd panic..and would call my parents in the middle of the night, to go home..or ask for a ride home..likely really pissing everybody off  One time, i went to stay at my uncle's in Michigan.. feeling confident i guess..and i got all weird and panicky in the middle of the night, and he had to drive me home..to Canada..he was pissed :(

Yeah, it's not really the sleeping over, it's having to eat food, sleep in a bed, and take medication in an environment you're not used to. And what about waking up? Are you expected to take a shower there?

I don't even wanna think about it. And them sleeping over at your house seems better, but I'd get paranoid that they're on my computer while I'm asleep or something.

I went alot of times so I wouldn't be a complete reject to my friends, but alot of times I made up excuses as well. I always felt weird because everybody else seemed to really enjoy going to each other's houses all the time. I didn't understand why I felt different.

Yep

yeh I know wot u mean, I like going to my friends house but always seem to want to go home when I know that there might be a chance that I have to crash over. If I do eventually end up sleeping over my sleep is disuturbed and I watch T.V or anything jus to pretend as if I cant sleep. Weird cos I get on well wit my friends and theres no reason for me to be panicky but I guess its apart of SA.

thats pretty weird, i used to sleep over my friends when i was younger, once i had this absolutly weird though that my friend was pretending to be asleep and had a gun and was gonaa kill me when i fell asleep (abosutly insane and im not a schizophrenic) so i stayed up like 1 hour feeling scared at one time i felt like i wanted to run away from the room but i eventually fell asleep. ok this is the weirdest and most f***ed up part, he woke me up by throwing his 6 year old sister on my crotch, she landed with her knees it hurt for a whole fukin week. so maybe it was my mind trying to alert me that danger was ahead its weird problably just a coincidense
