Supporting Someone With A Food Addiction!

I have a friend who I am really worried about.

They really enjoy their food. Junk food. Like chocolate, fizzy drinks and cakes at least two bags a day. I am incredibly concerned for their physical health as they are gaining weight from the process. They hardly exercise. I sat with them and pointed out the dangers of the unhealthy food and the effects it can bring on their health. At first they listened and cut down. But they now they have slipped back into their old habits. I re-spoke to them again about it. They just looked at me and told me to stop exaggerating.

It's incredibly frustrating because I don't want to see them get worse. They are on a waiting list to see a Nutritionist. But until then, they are continuing to do what they are doing.

Can someone please advice me?

I know how your friends feel. Its hard to get over any addiction and it isn't a straight path to the finish line either.

I know the dangers of this because I am feeling its results(onset obesity). This brings a whole new set of problems like diabetes and high blood pressure.

I believe because of my old, unhealthy eating habits, I have acquired unfortunate diseases.

Now that things have gotten really bad for me, I have decided to change those habits for the better(although recently I have been tremendously backsliding:eek:mg:).

Bring your troubled friends into a dialysis center and I gurauntee you they will think twice about eating right!
