tap water issue

I’ve got palmar HH. It’s so severe that I do iontophoresis using Drionic machine almost every other day (1 hour treatment in full setting). Sweating quickly sets in if I try to space the treatment. Even with such intense frequent therapy, the hands are not 100% dry. I use tap water without adding substances like bicarbonate, Glycopyrronium bromide etc. My question is what should be the ideal temperature of the tapwater? I use warm water ~ 40ºC. Will higher temperatures produce better results? - other than burning my hands :?

Thanks, Pinker. I'm seriously thinking of buying a better machine - some areas of the palms are always under treated

Yea, I'm with Pinker.

I've tried warm and cold and not sure if it's just me or not but I noticed that the current is a little less strong seeming with slightly warm water.

Don't think I've read about water temps changing the effectiveness though

you'll want to use cold water. If you don't use cold water, what will happen is that your sweat glands are still quite active and the iontophoresis wont' work as well. cold water reduces the sweat glands' activity so that you're not sweating as much or sweating at all when your hands are in the cold water.

what i do is i first 'ice' my hands by placing the palms on a frozen ice pack for about a minute (until it stings a bit) and then i put a cup of ice in the iontophoresis water tray. after iontophoresis session, i then 'ice' my hands again by putting palms on a frozen ice pack for another minute.
