Teased because of my weight

Recently everyone teases me because of my weight. They all point at my stomach and make a joke. I don't like it at all and I'm getting tired of it. I eat as healthy as a person could and I'm seeing if I can fit gym time into my schedule.

I'm just tired of being called fat. My little brothers tease me about my weight a lot. My mom is always pointing out the flaws I have and my dad makes remarks about my weight. My best friend calls me a fat a** all the time to and brags how he lost his weight, even though he still weighs the same as me, he's just taller.

I find it's so hard to lose the weight though. I gained it after my stay at the mental hospital. They gave me medication that makes me hungry and in a year I gained 60 pounds... Just thinking about it makes me depressed. I don't smoke anymore, I haven't in almost 3 months now. I usually went to that when I was depressed or stressed. Now I eat...

Can anyone give me weight loss tips please.. I just want to slim down so people will stop teasing me. :(

Keep eating healthy, try to go to the gym (or if you can't, just walk at a fast pace wherever you live for about an hour or so, with some running in between). Most of all, try to adopt a healthier attitude regarding your weight. Bullies find it hard to make fun of someone who knows how to make fun of him/herself. Tell them it's just more to love, or stuff like "yeah but I'm still sexy as hell", or "hey, a lot of women like a man with some meat on him", etc. The more vulnerable you appear when they poke fun at you, the stronger the chances of them making fun of you.

Unfortunately people who are overweight are one of the last groups of people that everyone is allowed to discriminate against and criticize in public, anytime, anywhere. :sad:

For some people food is their comfort - just like others use alcohol, smoking, shopping, recreational drugs etc.

It is not widely reported that some people are also born with different natural rates of metabolism. It is kind of like a well hushed up secret because if it was widely reported then being slightly overweight would not be able to be considered the "sin" it is in today's society. Therefore the billion dollar Weight Loss Industry would no longer be able to reap in huge profits for their products; weight loss drinks, all kinds of exercise machines and contraptions, gym memberships, Weight Watchers programs/clubs, weight loss instructional D.V.D's, weight loss articles in Woman's magazines that conveniently sell the advertisers products, Celebrity "Expert" weight loss books, exercise D.V.D's, the Spanx line of intestinal-squashing underclothing etc.

There is not an even playing field.
Most people know someone who only does moderate exercise but can eat their head off most days, while eating junk/high calorie foods, and still stays thin.
And then there are those who can eat as much as their other family members and exercise moderately and still find they put on weight, while their family members who don't even bother to exercise still stay a reasonably good weight. I have seen both extremes throughout my huge extended family tree.

For those who got the short end of the stick and were born with a slow metabolism, well they basically have to eat under the required amount of calories a "normal" person is expected to need each day.
They also need to exercise everyday, yes everyday, because the usual recommendation of exercising 4-5 times a week won't do anything for those with the natural slow metabolism.:sad:

Distraction can be helpful when a food craving comes along. Is there anything you can do to distract you that you really enjoy at those times?

Can agree got the short end of the stick... I work out everyday and I eat a decent diet.... Used to be nearly 300. I don't weigh myself but I'm like 200... 5'10...
Lift lots of weights and lots of cardio...

I grew up fat and no one ever respected me and I always got shunned.
Now that I'm actually in good shape and no one is a ***** anymore to me but my mentality never changed... I still always feel like a fat guy but everyone tells me I look good.

Just keep working out. It's hard trust me I know but so worth it my dude. I hated myself even more when I was fat ....

I know your pain. I was teased incessantly about my onset of obesity(don't know whether you consider yourself as such) ever since my dad's first ex-wife(not my mama) forced herself and her family into my home.

They abused me sexually, physically, emotionally, and verbally. She and her children loved calling me the n-word.

So many things went on that I would not be allowed to even post on this website.

I would love to bring justice down on people like this. How can your family even look themselves in the mirror when they talk crap about you like this!?

If they really cared, they would help you, not hurt you even more by calling you out your name and minimizing every beautiful thing about you!:thumbdown:

I've been working on my weight for instance I changed my diet drastically now I just need to go to a gym. Me and my life coach are working on it, but it'll take time.

The best things in life are always a process. Keep at it and you will achieve your goals. I too am losing weight tremendously.

Please PM me and I can give you awesome pointers.

For example, drinking real lemon juice from a couple of slices from real lemons can profusely increase your metabolism. Metabolism is the driving force that enables you to shred body fat.

Also, try out Panax Chinese(or Korean) ginseng for natural testosterone to get some mean strength...among other things like increased energy, libido, which will also relieve any depression you may be experiencing. :)

Also try and work on developing a thicker skin. I know we get bogged down by people's criticisms, it's very easy to. But people will always be knobs, and as soon as they sniff out our vulnerability they'll be even bigger knobs.
I'm trying to instil the 'What others think of me is none of my business' mind frame into myself, because caring as much as I do about other's opinions of me is exhausting, and I'm sure you'll agree. They'll soon stop thinking of you as a target when you succeed in caring only for your own opinion, I'm sure :)

if you're the type of person that gains weight easily then you might also be able to put on quite a bit a muscle as well...the more muscle your body has, the higher you're metabolism will be which means as you gain more muscle your body will burn more fat. as for people picking on you, if you let them know that their words hurt you then that just gives them more power over you. once they see you putting on some serious muscle I bet they'll change their tune.

I am currently working on my diet and I have been eating a lot of fruits and vegetables. I've also been only eating fish and chicken. Once I get on course with the diet I will start the gym.
