my school has a discreet makeup policy, infortunately thick black eyeliner does not come under the term 'discreet' so today i got caught and sent to the bathroom to wash it off. i was wearing waterproof eyeliner (damn) so all i succeded in doing was making my eyes very sore.
anyway, this afternoon the SCARIEST teacher in the school decided to check up on me and my fellow 'offenders' of course my eyes were still black, al ittle fainter, but still not 'discreet'. Normally i cannot talk to authroity figures but today, after having her shout at me and ordering me to go remove my re-applied makeup..i decided to speak up 8O
*has staring contest with teacher*
" well are you going to go wash it off ?"
"no"
"and why not?"
" i didnt reapply it"
"oh really, then why are your eyes black?"
"i couldnt get rid of it"
"i could do a better job then that"
"go wash it off for me then"
*teacher gets very mad*
"what did you use to wash it off?"
"water"
"and why doesnt it come off?"
"its water proof"
"why are you wearing waterproof eyemake up to school"
"i felt like it"
....

 why do i do it? i cant talk normally to people..and then i go stick my foot in it with the strictest, scariest teacher at school (in front of the whole class) and so now if at any point she shes me with eyemakeup on i get a phone call home, and an after school detention.

most of the times when i do find the courage to stick up for myself, by then i'm a raging hornet and come off as a hot head and end up being worse off than before.

It certainly takes guts to stand up for yourself, especially in the situation you mentioned. You could have gone about it a little better, but you should be proud that you stood up for yourself. I only wish I can be that courageous.

I don't often stick up for myself against "strangers" and will go out of my way to avoid confrontation. However as soon as I'm with my family I just lose it if a confrontation arises. I go into a rage half the time, hyperventilate, burn up, shake, throw things, cry, it takes me a while to calm down,.....I'm sure my family think I'm mental!!.. :? As for me Fred when I was at school I actually got away with alot of things which the louder kids didn't, like wearing makeup, ect. I do think this is because the teachers were aware I was different but in a good way. I never really stuck to any rules but I wasn't any trouble you know?....just a trouble to myself!!...

normally i do get away with more, and the teachers dont care cos i dont wear 'tarty' make up, just blackeyeliner but i had more on then usual and the teacher flipped.
