The longest time anyone hasn't left their house?

Does going outside my house in my backyard count? If not, then 2 years. For the last 9 years I've been confined to the house barring a handful of times a year when I have to renew a driver's license, see a dentist or something mandatory. But I did go about 2 years when I never left the house at all. Aside from sitting out on my deck outside. It even amazes me that that's true, lol. Kinda normal for me though.

In the past 10 months, I only left the house 3 times, and each time for less than an hour.

I love that you have to renew a driver's license even though you aren't going to leave the house. That's awesome!

I know, right - lol. I DID let it lapse a few years ago because I was a) too frightened to go and b) didn't see the point in it, but then several months after it expired I had family problems (health stuff) which required me to drive. So, guess what, because it expired for so long I had to take the tests all over again. Driving course, written/machine, all. Talk about anxiety hell! Ugh. I learned now it's better to renew it than go through an even worse (anxiety wise) option. Life is a barrel of laughs.

I think at one point I was in my house for 4 weeks, it was during the summer holidays, I didn't like going anywhere on my own, I could in the dark but because it was light till like 10 I just never went out and during that time I had lost most of my friends who usually dragged me out but my parents made me go outside eventually lol it was a depressing time.

Um, apart from work and getting food, I don't go out. I don't seem to go crazy because of it. But I don't really have any friends anyway. I seem to be relatively okay in my own company. (That age old dilemma of being content in your own company yet still suffer from loneliness)

I have the whole of next week off work, and I don't really plan to do anything (well, a hair cut :] ) The thing is, I hardly ever get to appreciate being in my place during the day because of work, it's actually nice to be inside it when I can. I don't appear to have some driving need to go places. ;x I am probably quite reclusive and a bit of a hermit, but it's always been like that.

I haven't been officially diagnosed with agoraphobia, but I have gone about 4 months without leaving the house I think.

3 weeks. I was hurt pretty bad from a motorcycle wreck. I could get around in the house somewhat but that was about all I could do. This was back in my pre-internet days so I watched daytime T.V. until I was mind numbingly bored and read books. It was during this time I started watching soap operas. Laugh all you want but there wasn't much else on T.V. in the middle of the day.

About a week, maybe a little more than that. I usually start to go a little crazy if I'm stuck in one place for too long.
