My girlfriend thinks that the people on this site can't really be my friends. I disagree. Sure we don't get the human contact, and don't get to see each other. But I think the bonds on here can be strong. I read something that was said about me by one of my friends on here and it made me feel really good so I thought that I would start Whole threads that were just about my friends on here and hopefully others would join in.
So I am starting with Black Puma.
I think Black Puma is a wonderful Person. He is very smart and has a very gentle personality that come through when he posts. I think that in real life he is probably very easy to get along with, and one of those people that you don't feel like you have to be something you are not when you are around him. Many times when I have been feeling down he has made me feel better, and he probably doesn't even know it. His love for his animals is something I admire and share. His love for Pizza is not. LOL. When he posts on someones thread it always seems to me that it is a heartfelt post, and it always seems to be a calming post. At least that is how it seems to me. Anyway, even though it is just on the internet, I am glad he is my friend!!!!:cool::cool::cool::cool:

I don't know anyone on here all that well since I sort of just come and go. But on other sites, such as Twitter, I have very strong relationships with people. Most of whom don't even live in the same country as me! I have a friend in London who I've been friends with for a year and a half. We talk nearly everyday and are always concerned for one another and give each other pep talks & whatnot. We've sent letters and gifts to one another before. Mostly they were little handmade things, but this year I sent her a present for Christmas (which didn't just cost me 2 stamps to ship over seas). I had to actually go to the post office and fill out a customs form and pay $15 to ship a $7 item. It was worth it though because she's always there for me. I consider her my best friend. I'm even going out to visit her this summer.

So, I'll just dedicate this post to her :D

It always sort of irks me when people say real friendships can't be made over the internet. Why not? Because you haven't seen how much taller or shorter they are compared to you? There isn't much you can't achieve with the internet, if you really want to make a friendship work.

I appreciate Feathers! (She is on here a lot less 3: but for the best I hope!)
Her posts are always lengthy and with heart, she gives heaps of advice and you can always tell she is hoping for so much good to come to each person she comes in contact with. She has an ageless enthusiasm, honesty and will to help... Not to mention her ability to fight through SA for her love of everything eco! She is not afraid to show her personality and she is such a sweet soul... She has kept me going many many times, and a few times even started me going. Her encouragement is constant, she truly believes in each person, and it is contagious... She is a true eco warrior and a kind soul

LOL. Yeah I planned to do a thread on her too!! My plan was to do individual threads on different people, in the hopes that I could get as many people to talk about that person as possible. :D:D:D:D

Danfalc-You seem like a really great person. You take leaps of faith and challenge you're social anxiety. I look up to you for that.
Escape Artist-I remember when I first came to this form my life was a mess. You gave me some great advice that made me think about where my life is going, not for anyone else but for me. You're really intelligent and i know you can do anything with you're life. You aspire greatness even when you don't realize it.You're truly one of a kind.
Feathers-You have a peaceful presents about you. You're patient and kind others and it doesn't go unnoticed. I kind of consider you like a motherly figure on this forum I look up to you for that considering my ultimate goal out of life is to become an amazing mother one day.
VJ288-I love how open you are to everyone on here. You really have a big heart and you just seem like this really cool guy that everyone would love to befriend.
Antimatter-You're an amazing artist! You inspire me to keep up with my own talents because it's not something to be wasted.
Coyote-You make life fun. All you're comments crack me up and help me realize life shouldn't be taken too serious.

As a one off for christmas, we re-instated this thread even though it broke a key rule. So people should be welcome to thank others and wish them well, I'm sure everyone will be happy with that.

Well I want to say that this site helps me a lot when I dont have anything to do or when I am lonely,dont have much friends on this site but this happens everywhere I go,also for people who dont get answers or are ignored by others,please dont go away only because of this,even if I dont answer I still read almost all threads, you make worth it coming back to this site.

SPW means ALOT to me, I'm just really happy I found this place because you people understand me so well , I love how open you guys are, how friendly and you all have a good heart and a good ear of listening :). I think these people could be seen as my friends too, Still it's very hard for me to make friends on this site (although i have a friend list, It's hard for me;$), but these people I find very inspiring and nice people :).

From most of the posts I've read on this website, it seems like Social Anxiety people are some of the kindest and caring people in the world. This defect we have sucks, but it seems like with this SA problem we are blessed with the ability to be respectful to other people. In this world, respectfulness is not always a guaranteed quality for a human to have.

Hmmm after moderating for 6 years here, I have to drop a bombshell and disagree entirely. We are as good or bad as anyone, we just seem to be nasty in a more covert way. ;)

Yes, we are not the chosen ones lol

Nope, realistic through experience.

It's funny how other mods have commented on it too over the years. Mind you, you lot don't see much of what goes on behind the scenes and I think it is best that way.
