The Water cure

I came across this site. www.watercure2.org/ it's a simple "cure" where you drink water combined w/sea salt. The recipe is on there. If you do this they claim you can cure pretty much anything. Anxiety is also on the list as well as acne and even cancer. Yes, it sounds unbelievable, but water is free and salt isn't much more so I figure it's worth a try. What have we got to lose? Maybe it won't work..but maybe it will.

I don't know, but the guy says that anyone who tries it and has acne gets better by two weeks, that he hasn't found anyone yet who hasn't gotten better! Also, its not a lot of salt that you take w/the water and maybe because it's sea salt, it might have something to do w/it too? Who knows?
I remember seeing a post on this site a long time ago by someone claiming that water cured them of Sp and not believing it and not trying it but I am going to try it now. Either it works or not but I have nothing to lose by trying right?

Sea salt has always been known to be good for the skin used externally. This is the first time I've heard that drinking it was good for skin etc.

I personally believe that salt water and sun help get rid of acne more than any other medication out there. The sun kills the bacteria and opens your pores while the saltwater cleans, dries and reduces your pores.

Obviously too much sun is going to be bad but growing up on the beach, you rarely saw surfers who went out daily with acne.

I can say this....surfing is one of those kinds of sports where after doing it for a few hours on a nice day, it's like you view the world different.....more melow. Maybe its from all the saltwater you swallow. :)

LOL about swallowing saltwater! But you may be on to something. The other day I had a sharp pain in my stomach and was worried I would not be able to carry the baby but thank God she was asleep when it happened so I hurried to the kitchen and drank 16oz. of water with a pinch of salt. Then 20 minutes later, much to my amazement the pain was totally gone! I have had those pains before and they have NEVER gone away that quickly! 8O So maybe this water cure stuff does work! 8O

A little more info. I found it a little complicated to follow the regimen the way it was set up, so after reading around some more I found this other site which says to take a glass jar w/ a lid and add about 1/3 sea salt then cover with water and let sit overnight. The next day if the salt is gone add more and leave again. This is ready when there is still salt visible, when it hasn't dissolved. Then ea. day in the morning you drink a teaspoon of this with spring water. It's called sole. It's supposed to be really good for you.
I'm going to try it.

Hi Aldebe, no, the site I mentioned doesn't sell sea salt, it just tells you how to use it, in what amounts. I think you can find sea salt anywhere. I don't know where you are from but her in the United States you can find it in health food stores. Maybe check there, if they have any where you live. You could also do a search on the internet to find some or have it mailed to you.
I don't know if it is safe to drink sea water, as the water might be contaminated or have too much salt. Also they suggest to use spring water. Oh and the doctor didn't do anything special, its just salt and water. Good luck! :)

Mary.. long time no see :)

As for salt.. its excessive usage is known to be a primary cause of hypertension in most of the world. Salt hardens your artheries, which as a consequence lose their ability to stretch according to pressure. This is something that naturally happens with age, and leads to all sorts of nasty consequences such as brain damage, ictus, and strokes. And really there is no need to accelerate the process taking extra doses of salt. A healty diet should contain LOW levels of salt.
I think food labels in the UK must indicate the sodium (salt) content of the product.. the less the better.

As for the small amount of table salt that one normally adds to food (unfortunately, most of the salt we ingest comes "hidden" into it already) it should preferably be sea salt, or salt with artificially added iodium, which is necessary for the correct functioning of the tyroidal gland.

Hello my friend! Yes, long time no "see". But to reply to your post, this doctor who came across the water cure, doesn't say to add excessive amounts of salt. The amount he suggests is less than the recomended minimum per day. So don't worry about that.
Actually (and I know you especially will appreciate this) but there may be a biblical basis for the water cure. As it says in the bible, "we are the salt of the earth, and Jesus is the living water." Maybe that example holds a hidden meaning..
Anyway talk to you later Quixote..the baby is teething and I can only write in short and quick spurts!

Honestly I haven't been doing it consistently. (not every day) But the couple of times I felt physically sick, I did it and it worked. It also worked for my mother.
SO I think it does work but you have to do it daily. I tried making the "sole" (the salt water) but I think I put way too much salt as it never dissolved! I'm waiting for it to dissolve, then I will try to take it daily. Also I just dont have time to be running to the bathroom all day w/the baby which is why I haven't been drinking the water as I should.

that makes a lot of sense asshole. Is aids curable? Is Alzheimer's disease disease curable? GTFO

Diabetes (Type 2) runs in my family and coping with it requires a lot of expensive medication, not salt water.

In Africa a tablespoon of sugar and salt could save some childs life but as some are so poor they havent even got that and when they get dehydrated-sure i spellt this wrong-that is what they need. Not enough salt is just as dangerous as too many.
But diabetes???My boyfriend is type 1 dont think that can replace the insulin..
But anyway anyhing helps if you belive in it!

I'm surprised nobody has noticed that someone asked about drinking sea water. "Water, water everywhere, but not a drop to drink" sums it up. You can, if you are trying to survive at sea without water, add 1 part sea water to 4 parts fresh water. I'm not sure if thats true but thats what I've heard is safe. Don't drink sea water though

Isn't all salt exactly the same? Isn't the only difference that sea salt comes in bigger grains of salt? Aren't most salt deposits we use just dried up sea beds?
