Has anyone ever tried the supplement theanine? I have read on forums that it helps with anxiety (especially social anxiety). I bought it for anxiety, but was hoping it would also decrease my hyperhidrosis. Instead, it seems like it increased my sweating.

ive heard good things about theanine..how well does it work for your anxiety?how long do the effects last?is it comparable to a benzo in terms of anxiety relief?

Theanine didn't do anything for me. "Phenibut" by a company called 'Liftmode" can do wonders for anxiety. Just read up on it before you take it. I've been using it for over 18 months. Klonopin if you can get a prescription also works well

^^phenibut works very well for social anxiety...it has its drawbacks though, most notably brain fog and possible addiction...it is definitely effective though..

klonopin works great for anxiety but strangely makes me even less social..

So far, I've only taken this for 3 days, but im not sure if its working for anxiety and sweating. I noticed that my anxiety was slightly down, but it seems like theanine is making me sweat more and blush more which makes me very anxious.
 
yeah sage made me super sweaty when I took it, I didn't like it. Is this just the beginning phases of these supplements taking effect or a bad reaction I wonder?
 
Theanine is a constituent of tea, which makes me sweat (and I normally never sweat), so I could easily see it being bad for HH. Never had it isolated in pill form.
