computer rage

My computer has been defiant lately.
I ask it to do something & it won't. This has made me disproportionately angry.
I don't know if it will let me post this message. If it will I would like to say 'hello' to any one who I chat to from this site...& I'm sorry if it seems like I'm ignoring peoples messages...I'm not
I don't know what to do when it doesn't work....my instinct is to beat it into submission...but I know that would be wrong...& very expensive

Dave Bowman: Open the pod bay doors, HAL.
HAL: I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.
Dave Bowman: What's the problem?
HAL: I think you know what the problem is just as well as I do.
Dave Bowman: What are you talking about, HAL?
HAL: This mission is too important for me to allow you to jeopardize it.
Dave Bowman: I don't know what you're talking about, HAL?
HAL: I know you and Frank were planning to disconnect me, and I'm afraid that's something I cannot allow to happen.
