Support Group

Hi. Would love to talk to other people about what they have tried and what has helped with social anxiety/phobia. Looking to set up a support group in the winnipeg area. I want to get better and its affecting my work.
Please Help!!

Hey Quiet21, and welcome.

I found that working with my therapist doing CBT helped me quite a bit. It slowly brought me out of my shell and gave me the impetus I needed to push on and try and control my feelings and emotions linked with my SA. WE also worked a lot with mindfulness, which I can not rate highly enough. I have used the exercises while out of the house to control my thoughts so as to avert oncoming panic attacks. This is the site the therapist advised and where she got a lot of her meditative exercises from.
