What are your phobias?

Hey, so I really felt like posting this thread because I have a huge phobia myself and It's impacting my life more than ever. Basically, I'm afraid of every single kind of sports balls. They scare me so much and I have P.E. tomorrow so I just feel the need to type this out. I get excessive sweating when I see a ball coming to my direction, I can't catch or throw and I get rapid heart rate. I just know I can't get out of p.e. so I sometimes pretend I'm ill so I don't have to do it...

So what are your phobias? Please share.

Phobias, eh?
Ahhh... well... there's: people, crowds, open spaces, small confined spaces, darkness, heights, body hair, rotting food, public germs, untidy spaces, security cameras - feeling of being watched at all times...
YES!
Balls flying at my face-- or people tossing me something, I freak out and cover my face with my arms rather than reach out to catch it. I was assaulted with a flying object and can't spot one without thinking it'll break my face again.

Can't think of any more right now.
I suppose some could be more general fears than phobias, since I overcome them on a regular basis but they still freak me out.

I dont like sport too. I have traumatized childhood memories of PE class and being the awkward weedy guy that no one wanted to pick. I skipped class just to get out of it.
As for my phobias now... Intimacy (I am beginning to think) Socializing, large crowds, potentially looking foolish. Almost anything to do with being around people and having the center of attention on me.

I am very insecure.

Banana skins.

Seriously.
Hate them.
Even in Mario Kart they're the worst weapon of the lot.

I also have slightly more understandable phobias of spiders and confined spaces. And VERY LOUD people :p

Feeling out of control/not knowing what is going to happen scares me. Exception to that rule is death strangely, while it's the cliche "unknown" I really have no fear of it (maybe I will when I face it though).

I'll steal Intimacy from the lost's list above me, definitely very fearful of getting close to people. Feeling vulnerable ties in here, which also ties in with feeling out-of-control.

Basically not knowing things and being forced to take risks.

- Spiders
- Heights
- Deep water
- Failure
- Rejection
- Death
- Vomiting; I find this to be such a weird fear, and I really don't know why I fear it so much. I have a panic attack every single time before and after I throw up. :/
- Being the center of attention
- Speaking to new people, especially to those in authority
- Speaking in front of a group
- Busy areas/places with a lot of crowds and people (only if I'm by myself. I can manage in public when I'm with someone)

I kinda want to put intimacy/getting close to someone on here too, but I got to thinking about it and really I'm just afraid of what would happen after I became close to someone, after they knew me inside and out. Basically goes with rejection, I guess.

My main phobia with regards to other people, in real life, is that they're going to show up at my house ("drop by", or "pop in") uninvited, at some random time. That's one of the main reasons why I avoid socializing in real life.

I don't mind having a visitor if I have about three months to prepare for it. But random drop-ins are devastating to my sense of security.

My social phobias include making small talk, using the phone, opening the front door to people, job situations, public speaking, and keeping eye contact. Other unrelated phobias are insects and heights.

I have this weird thing with water, I don't know if it's a phobia. If my head is submerged or there is water running down over my face, I panic and hyperventilate. It makes my morning showers kinda tricky.

hmmm...good question :D

I would have to say my biggest phobia is socializing, but that stems from my lack of confidence. I suffer from BDD.
