What is Love?

im not sure if this goes here but oh well...

what is your definition of love? what is it to you? what does it really mean?
In todays society the word "LOVE" is used very loosely, you hear singers yell "I love you all!!" in concerts. People can say that they 'love' their favourite singer/actor, when in reality they have no idea what that person is really like.

so what do you think love really is?

love is just a dream...... i dont think it really is there.

u can be happy with someone but to love for me, is something completly different the whole "i would die for this person" kinda thing.

in the end of the day i cant give a good account of what love is because ive never felt it.

Love is the Physicial and psychological effect of a chemical and physiological reaction. Love is merely personal emotional perception, based on a cognitive experience and social identity imprint.

Love is a f@&ing joke...

A horrible prank

and I'm done falling for it.

Sorry but your asking the WRONG person..

Theres lots of different definitions of love. For some people its just being happy with the person they're with, for some people it's when they'd take poison for them. I think there's lots of different levels of 'love' as well. For me to just 'love' somebody i suppose i'd have to feel as though i wanted to spend a huge amount of my time with them, feel completely at ease with them, feel as though i could talk to them about near enough anything without any hesitation really. To be completely in love though is something much deeper. if you see what i mean :?

Hallmark's not all bad though...they have some nice insulting cards too, which I love...I love their Maxine cards. I just love Maxine. 8) I have a big life-size doll thing of her on my wall, and I have a talking doll(says "I love my attitude problem", "Don't worry-be crabby", and "I couldn't care less but I'm working on it." ) They made a good Christmas Maxine video a few years too...they should make more videos of her. I'm going to be just like Maxine when I'm an old lady. :p

You only know what love is when you know it is there. If you have any doubt if it's there, then it's not. Love takes time...I seriously don't believe in love at first sight....but I do believe in love. It is intrigue, admiration, comfort, acceptance, fun, enjoyable, honest, and other feelings that I can't describe. I think that's how you know when you are in love, because you simply can't describe it.

I've heard time and time again people say that a person can't love others if he doesn't love himself first.
Who thinks that's true?

I think it can be true, I hate myself therefor I also hate the world because I am the same thing all around me. I remember I used to be able to feel God's love as a child, but these days it just feels different like he is seperating from me or maybe the Devil has just grown stronger around me. I have absolutely no friends and I am happy with it, the only thing that makes me angry is when people try to force me out of my bubble or try and get inside with me.

I don't think that's true. I can see the good in others when I can't see it in myself, and it inspires me. Also, what does loving yourself truly mean? Is loving yourself even possible?
