Arrogance? A delusional sense of self-importance but not neccessarily the same as self-praise. What is the dissertation to be based on?

"Self- applauding/applause"- envisage tiny ppl in ur mind scolding you (ur inner critics) for self- criticism.
Now, imagine these tiny critics clapping after every action, thought, idea u think/suggest. God it's late here, forgive my oddness! xx

What are those things... like "I am a great person and I will save the world one day"

...affirmations? Not exactly the opposite haha. Bexi - surprisingly that makes perfect sense :)

Perhaps self-analysis, since when we are being critical of ourselves, we can break down negative thoughts by analysing them and end up not being so critical, a la CBT.

Never heard of that before i love it - i wish my mind could masterbate and get itself off  I can imagine it would be a good feeling.

As for the answer - i agree with paul, affirmations - now it is just a matter of being able to look in a mirror and say those things to yourself.
