Why do humans sweat from their hands and feet?

Have any of you ever thought about why humans sweat on their palms or feet? What advantage does it give us? All it does is create a nuisance in social encounters and being a social being, why then were humans made to have hands that can sweat, it doesn't make sense. Do you guys even think hyperhidrosis is a disease or do just some people sweat more than others in different parts of their body? A lot people probably go throughout their entire lives not paying attention to how much they sweat and where they sweat. I know it seems kind of strange but if you think about it, it doesn't really make sense to have most of your sweat glands at your hands and feet. Why not just sweat evenly throughout the rest of your body?

I think humans sweat on the palms and bottoms of the feet because it gives more traction against dry surfaces. (Ex it's much easier to turn pages of a book with damp hands as opposed to dry hands.) Even on smooth surfaces a little bit of perspiration can aid in grip. Of course we with HH know that too much of this sweating actually makes it more difficult to grip things, and causes less traction. That's my theory.

I wouldn't call it a disease. Everyone is different. Some people just sweat more than others.

It is a fucking disease.PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!

Living whit it, is shit and people even take their own lifes because of it.So sorry for the language fxxx the the doctors who says that it normal some sweat more than others, bla, bla.

We have to find a cure against this and not blowe it away like hyperhidrosis is nothing.HYPERHIDROSIS destroys many lifes, carriers, oppertunitis etc, etc.

But yes, in the mean time we have to support eachother and live whit it ,its not worth dying for.But still we must push on and talk about it media, forum etc,so when a patient come to the doctor and say he has Hyperhidrosis he should know about it like canser, hiv, ocd, depression, broken leg or what ever and not like today....I have Hyperhidrosis,,,,Dr:???? eh,,yea its normal some sweat more than others ,next patient please:::::::::grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

For god sake hands and feet (face) are the bodyparts we use the most of the time,I would rathe sweat on my arms legs etc..Some people maybe think know ,,yea take ETS then,,,NO that is not that simple just read about ETS and you will understand.

tnx

Iontophoresis does work and works for 99% of the people who try it. The one percent who it doesnt work for is mostly due to improper use;due to not continuing treatments long enough, or not purchasing the proper machine... etc.. I recommend you start out using the Drionic Ionto machine and add slice a Robinul pill in half and place in each tray then along with applying drysol every night, you should notice a huge reduction if not complete cessation of sweating if this regime is kept.
