why do girls usually choose assholes for boyfriends instead of niceguys?i have sa,and iam a nice guy.u would think thats what a girl would be looking for,someone that wouldnt treat her like crap.i dont know,i cant figure it out.

Good queston I been trying to figure that out since highschool. The hot chicks always went for the scumbags still seems that way whenever I go out. And it doesnt get any easier finding chicks as you get older.

It does seem that the ****s have a bit more confidence when it comes to asking out women. I personally am not into ****s. My boyfriend is very sweet, though he does tend to be on the macho side at times.

I think women pick men for different reasons. Some for money, stability, sex appeal, looks, excitement, background(social status)...etc. It might be a matter of need. I haven't a clue really since I'm not into the bad guys. I'm also not into changing other people, though I know some women are. They have this need to change a man and trying to change a bad boy into what they want might satisfy this need. This subject isn't something you can generalize and get an answer from. Example: A former friend of mine dated a so-called bad boy once to get back at her parents.

Good luck. Sometimes it just takes time, the right woman and some confidence in yourself.

ive had a good few assholes for boyfriends.....i guess it is all about confidence also.
though they all start out as "nice guys" then turn on you.....i guess change.
what i wouldnt give for a nirvana loveing geeky boy to treat me right :(

I think what some people see in asshole guys in the assertiveness. Not neccessarily confidence in general but the ability to stand up for yourself. I believe you can be quiet/introverted and still be confident, however being a nice guy often entails someone who is easily trodden on. Whats your definition of a nice guy?

One example which may be of interest; I once dated a 'nice guy' who was sick to death of being used by a-hole women who used him for short term relationships. So it can and does happen both ways.

I only ever date nice guys. Obviously I'm not all women, but I hope it helps knowing that there are plenty of people out there who are happy to be around more stable and less obnoxious partners.
