Why do you think you have phobia NOW?

Hi,

The question may be somewhat... peculiar, but there NEED to be something that 'holds' our phobias from one second to another, true? Why phobias (and many other things :)) last at all? Past is in the past (or in our heads?) future is in the future (or in our... heads?), now... now is now (in our heads?). It all seams to be one from that perspective. (If this text bores you already, stop reading, because it does not give answers – it is only funny text that asks questions:)). So, I think (my) phobia exists because my conscious-unconscious mind tries to connect the three aforementioned dots to create a path but is afraid to include the last dot ('the future') as it has already included 'the past' dot, but 'the past' dot was of color red and the 'future' dot is green. Do they match?? Can we connect it??
And the stagnation occurs..
stagnation
stagnation
stagnation
...
...

Wait! Why is 'future' green? Make it red! But... I don't like red, the past was red...
Make the 'past' green! I tell you the past is already connected and it is red.
Damn. Why do you need this line at all... Do you need this path?
YES!, you actually take a map when you go to unknown places, true?
How can you create a map if you don't know where you are going, how can you know a place before you see it?
Haven't you heard about human ability of 'predicting' things?
Yes..., it is like you create a map, go to the place, but the place didn't exist in the first place.

Bye, have a happy day :D

Well the book im reading " the power of now " kinda points out that the past was a previous now and the future is something that the mind uses to draw itself away from the now.
Coz if we are 100% in the now than we really dont have any problems....exspecially anxiety issues.

Yeah, that is a good point, mind uses everything to escape from now... but Why? What is so scary about now? How can there be now, anyway? If there is only future and past and the now is actually invisible in between. Our description of 'now' cannot be right because 'now' actually does not exist in our reality. It just came to me that real 'now' must be blurred into the past and the future twins (or into 'time' when we join the two) and we take (see) the 'now' partially so that we can bare it. I believe it is our choice to see it partially as our 'real now' grows when we do things which we do not want to see ("bad things"). "Real now" gets smaller when we forgive and love. So... it is easy: forgive and love, and you are going to 'the now' :D created by God - the ideal now.

So, as I'm on the 'social phobia' forum. How could I take the real now if I cannot take this smallest of smallest part of this??? What we actually should do with this 'time', that we created? I think that, as we cannot stand seeing 'NOW' we should try to forgive and love all this small parts that we see. And that gives another, even more stunning conclusion: everything we see, feel etc. is inside us and we are responsible to love it and forgive it or... we will suffer forever - we have a choice, actually. So... if you see someone that is insulting someone else forgive both and love them as you are insulting and you are being insulted.

Its because we identify with our minds. The mind uses the future and the past to stay alive because in the presence of now it cant survive.
If you try to be completely in the now the mind will throw all kinds of thoughts and emotions at you to try draw you away and thats what makes it so scary. Just listen to them. The most important thing i think we need to realize is we are not the thinker. For me thoughts are the biggest problem. Its pretty amazing if you practise this but its REALLY hard.
Ill be watching my thoughts but some will come in the back door and ill be straight back into a " mind movie " or obssesive thinking.

As we can't see the big picture and thoughts 'are coming!', we should forgive and love every one that comes. How? is not an irrelevant question. I personally don't know how to forgive someone or myself truly. If it happens, it happens. I feel a great relief when I forgive, but I still don't know how did I do that. So I just think that we should ask 'God' (call it as you like) to forgive us or for us, as only someone with full awareness of what is going on can truly forgive.
