I had a seizure while I was taking zoloft. I think it's a very dangerous drug. I was sitting at a table with my brother and a friend and the next thing I know I was in some kind of dream state. When I woke up they were standing over me looking very worried. After that I decided to stop trying meds to overcome social anxiety disorder.
Zoloft and all the other meds I've tried never helped me. The only thing that has really helped me is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). In ACT we don't really try to get rid of anxiety per se, we learn to live with it and use our values to guide us into living a fuller life. Eventually through gradual exposure and successful experiences our anxiety should diminish naturally, and even if it doesn't, with ACT we are living the life we choose.
