Alternative ways to deal with HH

I have used yoga and Ayurveda to fix HH. Now I am focussing on SA.
btw, both are related. Also I haven't used any drugs(meds).

For HH, the simple rule of thumb, keep away from anything that heats the body more, especially in the diet area.
Also, understand any kind of stress heats the body, and it responds by cooling it to keep it working. The body cools itself by sweating.

Follow the following diet for a couple of months to see results. It depends on how much excess heat is stored in your body.

Diet :
----------------------------------------------------------------
Foods that Heat: Eggs, any meat, Spices, hot peppers

Foods that Cool: Lukewarm Milk, Fresh coconuts (juice also), Juicy fruits (not citrus), Cilanthro, wheat, Dates , Buttermilk

The following tastes also cool the body: bitter, sweet, astringent

This excess heat also manifests in the body in other ways:
boils, acne, acidity, anger, sarcasm in speech,

Here's a link to the Pitta Diet

think the cooling food that specifically work on cooling the liver is most beneficial, eg.

- chlorophyll foods like barley grass, wheat grass, cucumber, celery, spinach, watercress, broccoli. Also foods like tomato, mung beans, seaweeds, lettuce, millet & plum.

I personally wouldn't use milk (i'm under the impression that milk like all animal produce adds to excess, which inturn adds to heat).

- caffine products, smoking, and alcohol all contribute to excess heat.

- You are right about the liver being the seat of the heat element in the body
Check this link

- Tomatoes are acidic, ie., heating

- Milk is considered a pure(satvic) food in Yoga/Ayurveda, where as Meat is in the other extreme of the scale.
People who meditate for extended periods of time, survive can on milk and fruits alone. This is tied in with your fasting thread. But this is an advanced stage
where these people can control their energies.
Cold Milk is not good, where as boiled milk is good.

yeh tomatos are acidic, but they have a cooling effect on the body (don't know why but they do). 'healing with whole foods' by paul pitchford quotes tomatos being the best source to cool the liver. I've tried it too, really works.

Didn't know that about milk, is that any type of animal milk??
