hey there.
I'm a very awkward girl, and i act very nervous when people are around me.
And in love, i'm soo clumsy ::(:
I really hate it , but I can't stop it anyway
What do you think of it?
Is it ... acceptable ? xD

Hey there :) I don't know whether this was aimed at guys, other girls or just people in general, but as another girl I tend to get along better with shy girls. Loud, confident ones are intimidating to me and quieter girls tend to be better company anyway as they often have lots to say once they find an empathetic ear (I know I do!) In a world of brash, competitive, attention-hungry loudmouths, some people find a little awkwardness genuine and endearing :)

Hi Skatergirl (giving you a rep point :D)! Welcome to SPW!

Are you just shy or have social anxiety too?

I think nervous/shy/awkward girls are very cute, especially when they blush! Also, there are enough of loud-mouthed, gossipy and annoying girls in our society, so shy girls definitely appreciated by most people.

I prefer shy girls to normal girls, of course, since I'm shy as well. What about you?? :p

I like nice people. Nice people are, well, nice.

Don't worry, as long as you show compassion outside of your imagination, you should be fine. A lot of people who end up thinking "nobody likes nice guys/girls" haven't actually done anything to distinguish themselves as good people. Express yourself positively and most people will respond positively.

There was this nervous/awkward girl and I tried talking to her.. Nothing wrong with her.

on the other hand a nervous/awkward guy and he's avoided like the ****in plague.

There was a nervous/awkward girl in my art class once, she had acne and glasses, and she dumped over a thing of turpentine once. I was totally smitten. :D We started talking, and I think she liked me also - I was getting my hopes up, but then I overheard her say to someone else that her boyfriend was out of town for a few weeks. Damn. Foiled again. ::(:

As a shy guy, a shy/nervous girl is usually the type I could see myself being in a relationship with. However, it seems that I would almost require someone more outgoing to get the ball rolling as I couldn't do it myself.

What I think about them? Ehhm.. Well i can't accept myself really good to be honestly, cuz i think i'm weird cuz of my awkwardness :p but other people which are awkward.. i think theire cute :p
i think people which are awkward, are nice, it's better then girls with over confidence which are really bitchy :p
that's true.

Well I still talked to her, because I liked her sense of humor, but I tried to avoid flirting with her - it's a kind of blurry line of course. But I got the feeling she would have been into a fling, which kind of depressed me. I mean, cheating kind of freaks me out, in general. And anyway, I was looking for an emotional connection as much as anything else. But maybe that's the SA talking? I mean, SA can make you feel pretty ****ing lonely.

What about you, did you keep talking to them after you found out they had boyfriends?

Not me. I definately feel more comfortable around people who are shy. But I don't think I'd ever want to date or marry one. I'd be too afraid that if we had kids they'd have the same problems. I don't want my kids (that's if I have any) to go through what I go through everyday.

and there you have it. we are bred out of existence. or genocide.

I do believe men do find it cute when a girl blushes a brighter shade of crimson red or behaves in an awkward yet funny manner. Most women these days are obnoxious and vociferous; too loud-mouthed; and I've never seen an awkward/nervous girl in my life because it is rare, except that I am one of these girls::eek::
